"Jyada tourist nhi aate yaha. Do bade mandir hai paas mai uski wajah se mahine mai 50 guests ho paate hai. Isliye jyada kamre nhi ho paayenge uske liye maafi."

She explained while walking ahead and guiding them to their hotel. It wasn't very far from their camp.

"Obviously! What else can we expect?"

One of the female doctors spoke with a chuckle. Shiv glared at her but she didn't pay attention.

"It's fine. That'll not be an issue."

Tara smiled and they stopped at the reception where they made entry for each of the doctor.

"Umm-8 hi kamre hai. Toh aapko-"

"We'll adjust. Don't worry. Thank you for helping us."

Shiv said and Tara looked at him.

"Extra bedding ka arrangement ho gaya hai. AC har kamre mai hai. Subha garam paani bhi aata hai. Aur paani bhi har kamre mai pehle hi rakhwa dia maine. Aur chahiye ho toh reception pr call karke bol skte hai. Aur agar aur kuch zarurat pade toh bejijak call krdijiyega."

She said in one go and Shiv chuckled.

"Alright! Thank you."

Tara took her leave and left the doctors to adjust. She told the hotel owner to call her if they needed anything. And then she went back to her home.

Shiv was in the balcony of his room. He couldn't sleep. The rush and the reality that he was actually here. Managing a camp. Heading it and being recognised by everyone didn't let him sleep.

He looked at their camp which looked like a beautiful dream from here. A dream he has had since 3 years. People would now know him in those 4 other hospitals too.

He frowned when he saw someone run inside the camp. The movement seemed panicked. The person ran out of the camp and towards the hotel.

It was the volunteer girl. Tara. What was she doing so late at night? Was everything ok? Was there an emergency?

Shiv immediately ran out of his room and met her midway. She bumped into him and looked at him wide eyed while he stabled her holding her arm.

"What's wrong?"

"Wo-wo-aap chaliye!"

She held his hand and they ran towards a house. Tara rushed straight in with him still following behind.

He looked at the situation. A woman. Howling in pain. Clutching her belly. Labour. She was in labour.

Thankfully their delivery specialist was already present there.

"Status doctor?"

He asked and the lady doctor looked at him.

"Bacha pait mai ghum gaya hai doctor. We need to operate."

"Do we have the equipments?"

"Yes doctor."

"Do it! Get the team you need. And do it."

The woman nodded and rushed out before saying that they needed to get the woman in the camp.

"Aap sab bharosa rakhiye. Sab thik hoga. Please help us get her in the camp. Hume inka operation karna hoga. Bacha ghum gaya hai pait mai. Normal delivery possible nhi hai."

The next few minutes were a mess. They somehow got the crying woman in the camp. They set up a mini operation theatre. The doctors gathered and drew the curtain to start the surgery.

"M-mujhe dekhna hai."

Tara whispered. She looked so disoriented. Completely opposite of how she was in the day.

"She'll be fine-"

"Nhi! Mujhe dekhna hai."

She said and Shiv understood it was her fear speaking. She feared if something happened to the woman and she wanted to make sure she was fine.

"Here."

He showed her the gap in the curtain and she peeked in.

"Ye-ye injection kis cheez ka hai?"

"It's anaesthesia. Behosh krne ke liye."

Shiv explained and Tara looked on worried. Her breaths came out heavy. She was scared.

When the first cut was placed and blood start oozing out, she felt her head spin and started falling back.

Shiv held her shoulders and made her sit. He gave her water and put her hair behind her ear.

"She's going to be fine. Deliveries through surgeries are very common nowadays. And pait mai bacha ghum jaana bhi aise situation hai jo hum doctors roz tackle krte hai."

"Unhe kuch nhi hoga na? Mai di ko pehle hi kho chuki hu aise. Lekin uss waqt koi camp nhi tha. Bacha pait mai hi mar gaya aur hum di ko bhi nhi bacha paaye."

She cried and held his hands.

"Bhabhi ko pakka-kuch nhi hoga na?"

He cupped her face and said.

"Kuch nhi hoga. Na unhe aur na unke bache ko. Dono bilkul thik honge."

She hiccuped remembering her sister and he patted her head.

She clutched his shirt when they heard the sound of a baby's wail. Tara's eyes teared up and Shiv smiled.

The doctor came out and handed the baby wrapped in a cotton cloth to Tara.

"Ladki hai. Baby healthy hai. Aur maa bhi bilkul thik hai. Kuch der mai hosh aa jaayega. Aap mil skte hai. Aaj raat yahi rehne dena. Kal subha le jaa skte hai ghar."

Tara looked at the little girl in her arms and sobbed. The baby was fine. The mother was fine. She looked at the baby's father standing with his limbs frozen. He couldn't gather courage to enter the camp.
