"We're told you bring you home."

Akshara's eyes widened listening to Arpit's words and she looked towards the door behind which her brother laid.

"B-but I just got home with my brother. He's still weak."

She countered only to be met with a raised eyebrow. Ofcourse, who was she kidding? She had promised that vile man she'd be in front of him as soon as she got home from hospital with Ayush.

"Give me 10 minutes. Mai usse settle krke aate hu."

"Ms. Goyal, we're instructed to bring you along with your brother and your stuff. You are asked to shift to his place."

Arpit said and she looked at him with shocked, disbelieving eyes.

"But he never said anything about shifting to his place. I can't do that. Ayush doesn't know anything about the contract and I want to maintain that."

She declared and he nodded.

"I'll let boss know about your decision."

He had picked up his phone only to be stopped by her quick 'No!'.

"Don't-don't tell him. Give me...some time to get him and our luggage ready. Till then you guys can sit here or do...whatever you want."

She said absentmindedly and went to their room. She took a deep breath and opened the door to the room to see Ayush sprawled comfortably and watching his movie with the earplugs plugged in. He seemed pretty focused on the movie. When he saw her enter he smiled, making her smile back awkwardly. He slowly removed his earplugs looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Why are you looking so sus?"

He asked and she smiled sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I-umm-I wanted to tell you something."

She started with a nervous tone and he made an sad face.

"Is it the moment you tell me I'm adopted?"

He joked and she glared at him making him laugh.

"Sorry sorry! Batao kya baat hai?"

"Haan! Wo-actually-teri surgery ke liye...maine jis aadmi se loan liya tha na...usne mere saath ek contract kia tha...you know...in return of the money."

She started and laughed nervously. Why were her palms so sweaty? She wiped them on her jeans and he raised his eyebrow.

"What kind of contract?"

He asked and she gulped.

"Contract...a simple contract...jaisa hota hai. Matlab for the next 1 year I'll be his...umm...his employee, yes! His employee. You know just without a pay."

He seemed convinced and laid back down.

"Ok. Seems fine to me."

She sighed and looked at him. Gosh! This was too tough.

"Umm...ek cheez aur hai. Wo actually...we have to shift to his place."

"What? Why?"

He asked and she got nervous again. What should she say?

"Umm...wo...actually...haan! he -he has his office in his home. You know work from home types. And so he makes all his employees live at his place jisse kaam krna aasan rahe sabke liye and his work doesn't stop. So, that's why."

Ayush processed the information and nodded slowly.

"Ok, I mean I know a lot of companies which provide accommodation to their employees, so its ok, I guess."

He shrugged and relaxed again.

"So when are you leaving?"

He asked and she corrected.

"We. you're coming along with me and we're leaving in almost half an hour from now. His men-umm-other employees are here to take us to his place."

"I am not going anywhere."

He countered and she glared at him.

"I'm not leaving you here Ayush. There's no other option."

"Didi!"

He whined but she showed no reaction. He sighed and she smiled, patting his head.

"God boy! Agar change krna hai toh kr le, I'm packing our bags tab tak."

Ayush chose to wear whatever he was. Which happened to be shorts and tshirt, while Akshara packed their bags. She didn't have much stuff so she put all of her stuff in 1 big bag while Ayush's things took two bags plus his school bag.

She took those bags outside and gave them to his men.

"That's it? That's all the stuff you have?"

Arpit expected at least 5 bags from them. 3 of them to be of Akshara alone and he was surprised.

"Yes. That's all."

He nodded and got the bags taken down. Two men came forward to help Ayush down the stairs.

"Listen! My brother...he doesn't know anything about the contract. Can we please make sure he doesn't get to know about it."

Arpit nodded and she relaxed. It took them 2 hours to reach his place and Akshara heard Ayush gasp.

"Didi! You didn't tell me your boss lives in a mansion."

He whispered with excitement, making her smile nervously. She was fearing the impending doom.

"Didi? Ye aapka boss kitne saal ka hoga?"

He asked in a hushed tone as they entered the mansion.

"Pata nhi. Around 30-31 saal ka. Kyu?"

"Perfect age! Didi, aap na isse pata kar isse shaadi kr lo. Phir hum hamesha yahi rahenge."

He giggled like a girl and she glared at him. She was about to give a sarcastic reply but was stopped with Arpit's call.

"We will get your brother adjusted in his room. You have to see the boss first."

Akshara closed her eyes in exasperation at the mention of the devil.

"Tu chal, mai mil kar aati hu."

She assured Ayush and went to his room happily. She was escorted till his cabin by Arpit, who knocked and entered inside behind her after receiving permission.

"Boss! We got them!"

Akshara rolled her eyes. Got them? What were they? Enemies?

Lakshay who was standing near the window facing outside turned with that ever placed smirk on his face.

"Welcome home, Mi amore!"

Akshara gritted her teeth but chose to stay quiet.

"Is her stuff here?"

He asked Arpit who nodded.

"Get it arranged in my room."

Akshara's eyes widened. Arpit nodded and left the two alone.

"No! I'm not staying in a room with you."

Lakshay raised his eyebrow at her declaration. He moved closer to her and asked.

"How else do you plan to fulfill the contract, Mi amore?"

"Stop calling me that! And-and I can't let my brother know about the contract. I can't share a room with you. And about-the contract-I can come to your room at nights to fulfill it."

She gulped when he looked at her intensely. He leaned in and whispered near her lips.

"And what if I want you in the daytime?"

Her breath hitched and she looked into his eyes with her lips parted in shock.

Something flickered in his eyes and his expression changed from teasing to stoic.

"Your brother stays on the ground floor. And my room is on the fourth. No one's allowed on my floor. Not even your brother. He won't know anything. So you're staying in my room."

"But-if no one is allowed on your floor...what will I tell him that why am I on your floor?"

She asked biting her lip and he shrugged.

"Not my problem."

She scowled at him and started to go out only to be pulled back into his chest. Her back was plastered against his hard, well built chest.

"I expect you in my room tonight. Before I enter the room, I want you ready and waiting."

"T-tonight?"

Was it not too early?

"Yes! Tonight! I've already given you a week with your brother. It's time we fulfill the contract."

He nuzzled his nose in her neck making goosebumps erupt on her skin and she closed her eyes. She should be feeling repulsed by his touch. Why did she feel excited then?

"Leave!"

He commanded and she ran off, not wasting another second. She spent the whole day lazing around in Ayush's room. Helping him with his stuff and arranging them neatly in his room.

The boy was too happy to have his own room for once.

Even after dinner, she was sitting with him, giving him his medicines when she realised the time. It was 10pm already? Her eyes widened.

"Chal ab tu rest kr. Mai bhi sone jaati hu."

With that she got out of his room, softly shut the door and ran to the elevator. All throughout she prayed that he was not in the room before her or she was gone. He had specifically asked for her to be there before him.

But to her bad luck, he was already there. With a glass of scotch in his hands and a dangerous look in his eyes.

She lowered her head and started moving towards the washroom to change only to be stopped by his deep voice.

"Stay where you are!"

She froze in her spot. He walked towards the armchair and sat on it like a king. The glass in one hand, other on the armrest.

"What did I say about you being the room before I enter?"

He asked and she gulped.

"I was talking to Ayush and time ka dhyan nhi raha. It will not happen next time."

She mentally patted herself for not stuttering.

"Disobeying my words have consequences. And you deserve a punishment, Mi amore!"
