Lakshay was sitting in the home office. He couldn't get the girl out of his mind. It's been more than 24 hours but his mind was still stuck on her.
And it had never happened before. No female had been capable of getting his attention. Which was also the reason for this ruthless mafia being a virgin at the age of 29.
His thoughts about her came to an end when he heard a knock on the door. He gave permission to enter and saw Arpit, his most trusted man enter.
"I have it all sir."
Lakshay smirked and nodded, motioning him to continue. Arpit took a deep breath and opened the tablet in his hand. He started reading the information his boss had asked him to collect.
"Name: Akshara Goyal
Age: 25 years
DOB: 05/06/1999
Occupation: Primary school teacher
Relationship status: Single, no past dating history or ONS history."
That bit got Lakshay's smirk to widen. It would be fun to taint her.
"Family background: Father left when she was 10. He had been cheating on his wife and now lives with his 2nd wife and 2 kids. Mother died 3 years back due to kidney failure. She now lives with her 15 year old brother, Ayush Goyal. No relatives or close friends."
Arpit finished and Lakshay looked at him.
"Why was she in the hospital yesterday?"
"It was her brother, boss. He had been diagnosed with kidney issues. The doctors have suggested immediate surgery. They have a match for him and the surgery has to be done by tomorrow noon or they'd pass the kidney to the next recipient."
"And she doesn't have the money."
Lakshay concluded and Arpit nodded. A sinister smile took place on his lips. He knew how to cage her. With him.
"Tell her I'll cover the cost. And Arpit! I want her here within 3 hours."
Arpit nodded and left the room to make the necessary call.
Akshara usually didn't pick unknown numbers but she thought it might be the bank. She picked it after wiping her tears.
"Hello?"
Her voice sounded hoarse due to all the crying she'd done.
"Am I speaking to Ms. Akshara Goyal?"
She heard a male voice from the other end.
"Yes. Aap kaun?"
"That's not important. What is important for you is that my boss is willing to cover your brother's medical costs if you meet him in the next 2 hours and 50 minutes."
Akshara sat straighter and frowned.
"Your boss?"
"Yes. Mr. Lakshay Rajvansh."
"Why does he want to pay my brother's medical expenses?"
"I can't answer all of that over call Ms. Goyal."
"How can I trust whatever you're saying?"
She asked only to hear a cold reply.
"Well, the choice is yours then. Meet my boss and save your brother or keep trying for yourself and lose him eventually."
"No! No...I'll meet him. Can you.. can you tell me the address?"
She noted down the address he spoke and immediately ran to fetch her bag. She booked a cab not wanting to disturb her neighbour again and was at the address she was told in 2 hours.
The place was huge. It was a freaking mansion. A four floored one. Whoever this man was, he was too rich.
"Mam? Are you sure aapko yahi aana tha?"
The cab driver asked. Akshara looked at the man. He looked like he was in his early 30s.
"Ji. Address toh yahi ka hai. Koi problem hai kya?"
"Aap yaha interview ke liye aaye ho? Jis aadmi ka ghar hai ye wo bhut danger aadmi hai mam. Kaafi khatarnak aura hai uska. Aapko pakka pata hai yahi jaana hai? Safe rahoge na madam?"
Akshara smiled at the man's concerns and nodded. She handed over his fare and got out of the cab after thanking him.
As the cab left, she felt chills down her spine. What if the man's words were true and she wasn't safe? She had acted on impulse and came here just because of a phone call. And she didn't even know who she was meeting.
But right now, this seemed like the only option to save her brother.
She took small calculative steps towards the entrance only to be stopped by two huge, bulky guards, each carrying rifles in their arms.
"Ji? Kya aap hai?"
"Wo...umm...Mr. Lakshay Rajvansh se milna tha."
"Boss kisi se nhi milte. Koi appointment hai aapke paas?"
"Mujhe..umm.. mujhe unhone hi bulaya hai...aap ek baar unse kahiye...Akshara Goyal aayi hai...wo jaante honge."
She stuttered. They seemed to be knowing about her arrival because recognition crossed their features and they allowed her in.
She wiped the sweat off her face and palms and continued walking inside. As soon as she stepped inside the mansion, she was met with an eerie silence. Did no one live here?
"Ms. Goyal?"
A man came out from a room beside her. She recognised the voice.
"You were the one who called me."
The man seemed impressed at her observation and nodded.
"Boss has been expecting you. You can go in now."
Akshara looked towards the door he motioned at. The same one he came out of earlier. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
She heard a deep and cold voice command. The driver wasn't wrong. Even the man's voice seemed dangerous.
Deep breaths Akshara! Here goes nothing.
She entered inside to see the a big beautiful, table being placed in the center of the room. Two chairs were placed in front of it and one, big leather chair behind the table. The chair was turned making whoever was sitting on it invisible to her.
The door was shut behind her making her look at the door wide eyed. She heard the sound of the chair being turned and looked back at front only to be shocked.
It was the same man from the hospital yesterday. The one she had rebuked because he was a bigshot. The one who brought his sister for a bandage.
"Aap?"
Akshara didn't know how to react. The man only smirked and stared at her.
"Why am I called here?"
She asked, coming straight to the point and he looked at her amused.
"Straight to the point, I see. Well, let's talk then. Sit!"
Akshara wanted to run. The man screamed trouble. His aura and his entire presence seemed too dark.
Akshara reluctantly took a seat and kept her bag aside.
"Listen! If this is about some revenge game because I said all those things to you in the hospital yesterday, then please, I'm not in the mood for jokes and this is not funny."
She clarified and her voice broke thinking about her brother. His eyes darkened at being reminded of how she talked to him.
"I never said it was funny."
"Then why am I here?"
She asked not breaking the eye contact even if the look in his eyes scared her.
"I'm going to take care of your brother's medical expenses. The surgery and all of the expenses after that."
He spoke. She waited for him to add a clause but when he did not, she asked herself.
"What will you get in return?"
The way his lips curled into that sinister smirk actually made her hold her bag, ready to run. He opened his desk drawer and took out a file.
"I want you to sign these. Nothing else."
He said pushing the papers and pen towards her. She looked at her cautiously and held the papers, reading its contents. What she read made her blood boil. She slammed the papers on the table and got up in fury.
"How dare you? What do you think of yourself? Sex slave? You want me to be your sex slave? I'm not what you think I am. You fucking asshole!"
Her eyes were blazing with anger and her words made him angry. He didn't show it. But the way his eyes darkened and jaw ticked, she knew she'd crossed her limits. But do hell with it! How dare he suggest something like this.
His anger didn't scare her as much as the smirk that formed after did.
"You may leave then."
He spoke and she started taking her only to freeze hearing his words.
"Leave! Keep your dignity! And let your brother die!"
Her hold on her bag weakened and it fell back on the chair.
"Or...Sign! And save him!"
The thought of her brother made her slump back on the chair and look at him with tears falling down her eyes. Her eyes held so many emotions. Pain and hatred for the man sitting in front of her being the most prominent ones.
"You sign those and I sign this."
He motioned towards the cheque he was holding. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, letting all the tears free. When she opened them, her eyes were dead. She took hold of the pen and signed the papers.
