“What I mean is that the condition that I have is more of a state of mind. Matlab whenever I feel the fear that I felt during that incident, my allergies get triggered. Like if I am at an unkempt, untidy place and it reminds of that space I was kept at, I can't stay exposed there. Or if I see something I don't know the making process of or I know it to be unhygienic I can't have it. Or when I come in contact with people who keep their hands dirty due to whatever reason, be it their work or any other reason or when I doubt someone to be suspicious and untruthworthy, you know like those men who took me, it just triggers the allergy.”

He paused and gauged her reaction. She was listening with rapt attention trying to figure out why she was an exception to his condition. He smiled and continued.

“And I can make an exception for you because I trust you Alisha. With my life.”

He said placing a soft kiss on her lips and she frowned.

“Ok. I understand why you can touch me. But why not uncle and aunty? Technically you should be able to agar ye reason hai toh.”

He smiled sadly and said.

“I was not taken from somewhere outside the house or when they were not at home Alisha. I was taken from my own house and in both of their presence. I was 7. Don't you think you don't leave a 7 year old without supervision even in your own home. And not at night. I know they blame themselves for what happened but it is the truth. Agar uss din unn dono mai se koi ek bhi mere saath hota toh aaj meri condition ye nhi hoti. I would have been living a normal life.”

She lowered her head understanding what he meant. She laid her head back on his chest and he caressed her back closing his eyes in bliss.

“I know I should do something special but I am honestly clueless in this regard. Plus mujhse baatein ghuma kr nhi kri jaati so I'll say it upfront. Will you marry me Alisha?”

She gasped and looked at him surprised. Her wide eyes met his glinting ones.

“You're joking?”

“I would never joke about something this serious with you. I want to marry you Alisha. And I don't want to waste anymore time. If you're ready that is.”

She has never thought about marriage until this moment. But she's also never felt more ready that she felt right now. Here at this moment, she knew she was more than ready to be called his wife.

“Yes! I'll marry you. Yes!”

He sighed in relief and kissed her head. She grinned and kissed his bicep. He loved when she did that.

Alisha was nervous. She was going to meet his parents with him. She's met his mother and she knew the lady liked her but she had no clue about his father or what kind of a man he was.

Advaith was covered from head to toe. He was wearing a face mask and sunglasses which covered his entire face. He was wearing his cotton gloves and a turtle neck.

“Arre aao aao. Tum dono ka hi intezaar tha.”

His mother greeted them and welcomed them inside. Advaith got rid of the mask and sunglasses but let the gloves remain.

“Papa kaha hai?”

He asked and his mother pointed towards the room. All three of them entered the room where his father was watching cricket match.

“Aa gaya! Aao bhayi! Baap ki yaadd nhi aati tujhe?”

Although his tone was teasing but Advaith felt the longing and pain behind his voice.

“I'm so proud of you. You've achieved it Advaith. And I know you'll take the business to new heights.”

Advaith had never felt more proud of his own self.

His father's gaze shifted to Alisha and she felt nervous all of a sudden.

“Aap Alisha hai na? Kavita ne bataya tha ki aap bhi aa rhi hai. Welcome beta.”

Alisha nodded and greeted him making him smile and give a teasing smile to Advaith.

“Well, hamare yaha aane ka reason two fold tha. Ek toh aapse milna tha aur dusra hume aap dono ko kuch batana tha.”

“Haa! About time!”

His mother commented making Alisha blush. Advaith stood beside her and took off his glove from one hand. He forwarded his hand for her and she grasped it softly while looking into her eyes and they heard two gasps.

“Advaith!”

“Hey bhagwaan! Ye kaise- sach mai? Tera lakh lakh shukar hai bhagwan. Mai soch bhi nhi sakti thi ki aisa bhi din aa skta hai.”

She sounded so happy and kissed his gloved hand.

“Mera bacha! God bless you both hamesha.”

“I want to marry her maa papa. And jaldi.”

They chuckled at his words and his father said.

“Hum toh taiyar hai lekin what about her parents?”

“Umm - I told mumma papa about us last night and we're going to meet them for dinner tonight. Hopefully everything goes well.”

They were in front of Alisha's place. Advaith felt really nervous. What if her parents didn't like him for her?

“Hey? What happened?”

She asked cupping his face and he looked at her fearfully.

“What if-what if they don't find me fit enough for you?”

“Why will that happen? You're fit enough for me Advaith.”

He closed his eyes for a brief moment and spoke.

“Please Alisha. We both know I'm not like normal people. I-”

“I don't want anyone else. And they know that. Everything's going to be fine. Trust me Advaith.”

He nodded and they rang the bell. Her mother opened the door with a huge smile on her face.
