"Good morning!"

She chirped and he smiled turning on his back. He looked at the ceiling and sighed. He then turned his face in her direction and smiled.

"Good morning. Why are you up so early? What time is it?"

"It's not early. It's 7."

Hearing the time, his eyes widened and he got up with a jerk. He fetched his phone and cursed himself.

"Shit! I forgot to add the alarm. I'm going to be late today."

He said hurrying off the bed and Krisha frowned.

"Kaha jaa rhe hai itni jaldi mai?"

She asked when he took out his clothes and started rushing inside the bathroom.

"Office. I'm already late because I didn't add the alarm."

He said and disappeared inside the bathroom. He was going to office? On the first day of their marriage? Krisha pouted and made a mental note to ask him about that.

She too, in the meanwhile, took her clothes and showered in the guest bedroom. After getting ready in a red saree, she went out to make breakfast.

"Good morning mummy."

She greeted her mother in law who smiled and blessed her when Krisha touched her feet.

"Khush raho. Sada suhagan raho."

"Kya banana hai mummy breakfast mai?"

She asked and her mother-in-law gave bet options which could be made. Then the two of them started making breakfast for all of them.

Aakash came out for breakfast and took his seat beside Krisha. She pouted at him trying to convey that she wasn't liking him going to office on the first day of their marriage.

Aakash frowned seeing her pout like that and raised his eyebrow in question. She pouted more and he frowned more. She shook her head indicating him to not go and he gave her a confused expression.

They heard a throat clearing and sat straighter. His mother was looking at them with a teasing smile. Krisha lowered her head in embarrassment and Aakash's ears turned pink as he looked away from his mother's teasing gaze.

After breakfast and Krisha's first rasoi ritual, Aakash went to his room to fetch his bag and Krisha followed.

He was making sure his appearance was fine when she hugged him from behind making him freeze. Her arms were wrapped around his torso and her cheek was resting against his back.

Aakash gulped thanking God mentally that she was behind him or she would have heard the wild beats of his heart. And would it make him a pervert if he said he loved how soft her breasts felt against his hard back.

"Krisha?"

He asked in a husky whisper and pulled her in front of him. Her pout was back and it took everything in him to control his desires and not kiss her hard.

"Aap office kyu jaa rhe hai? Aaj hamari shaadi ke baad pehle din hai. Hume saath mai spend krna chahiye atleast ek week toh."

She said with an exaggerated widening of eyes. He chuckled because the expression made her look like a cute bunny.

He pinched her cheeks and muttered 'Cute'.

"Kaam se already bhut chhuti le chuka hu because of all these rituals. Ek aur chhuti li toh boss salary katna shuru kr dega. Do din and then it's a Saturday and I am all yours. Pakka."

He kissed her forehead and left in a hurry while she stood there blushing at his words and actions.

"All mine!"

She giggled and smacked her forehead lightly at her own antics.

More than a month had passed since their wedding and the two have grown much more comfortable and closer to each other. Krisha would give full account of her day to him as soon as they were back to their room at night and ask Aakash to do the same too.

Aakash too had grown out of his initial hesitancy and would now hug her or kiss her forehead at random times.

Though they've not taken the next step yet but Krisha knew she was ready. She just didn't know how to voice it out without sounding desperate.

And so she decided not to because maybe he wasn't ready. Because what if she did ask him and he rejects her saying he wasn't ready. Now, getting rejected by your own husband would be too awkward right.

Right now, Aakash was in office and Krisha was making tea and snacks for one of his relatives who was visiting because she couldn't attend the wedding.

She was some bua of Aakash. Not his father's real sibling but a close cousin.

Krisha could hear voices outside indicating that the guests were there.

"Aur bhabhi? Kaha hai hamare dulhe raja?"

Krisha heard the woman, apparently now her bua saas ask her mother-in-law. Krisha smiled at the mention of her husband.

"Aur kaha didi office gaya hai. 8 bje tak aa jaayega."

"Tab tak bahu rani se hi milwa do saasu maa ji."

The two women laughed and Krisha wiped her hands with the end of her saree pallu. Just as she did so, her mother-in-law called for her.

"Namaste bua ji."

Krisha said bending to touch the woman's feet and joined her hands in front of her son who was much younger than Aakash but elder than her.

"Jeete raho jeete raho. Bahu toh badi sundar laaye ho bhabhi. Kaafi young lag rhi hai. Kitne saal ke ho beta?"

"Ji teen mahino main 22 ki ho jaaungi."

Krisha answered with a smile and the woman looked at her shocked.

"Kaafi chhoti hai Aakash se. Hamara Aakash toh 30 ka ho jaayega na kuch mahino mai? Kyu bhabhi uski umar ki koi nhi mili kya?"

The woman asked the question as a joke but Krisha could feel the hidden jibe in it. Her smile diminished a little but she maintained the politeness.

"Aisa nhi hai didi. Umar bhale hi chhoti ho lekin laakhon mai ek hai meri bahu. Aur umar se kya farak padta hai. Samajhdar bhut hai Krisha."

Krisha smiled at her mother-in-law's words. The woman laughed and said.

"Arre maine kab kaha nhi hai. Mai toh Aakash ki keh rhi hu. Jaanti ho kya kehta tha hamesha?"

She asked addressing Krisha and she shook her head not aware what she was talking about. But the woman's next words snatched her smile completely.
