"Hello bitch! You're late!"

She heard her best friend as soon as she entered the college. It was their habit of waiting for each other at the entrance of the college.

"You know the dramas in my life."

Prisha rolled her eyes. She had given her a vivid account of the thriller movie her life was becoming slowly. A stalker. An actual one. Not one like Zade Meadows.

"Who's this hottie by the way?"

Rishi heard her friend whisper not to slowly while eyeing him. He was known to females giving him attention until they knew he was a mere bodyguard.

"That's my bodyguard."

Prisha replied and her bestfriend, Saira gasped.

"I also want a bodyguard now."

Prisha rolled her eyes as she saw Saira giving love eyes to Rishi.

"What? Sirf tu life ka full fun legi kya? You get to have a stalker. And now you have such a hot bodyguard. I also want one."

Prisha rolled her eyes again.

"Babe! That stalker is not Zade jo tu khush ho rhi hai. It's an actual stalker who is sent to kill me. And jis bodyguard par tu fidda ho rhi hai he hasn't spoken 20 words in 2 hours. Matlab meri awaz itni sexy ho toh mai toh chup hi na hou. Lekin ye bolta hi nhi hai."

Rishi looked at the girls in amusement. Wow! They were talking about him as if he wasn't present.

The next day, Prisha was looking for her father in his study. She entered the room bouncing happily.

"Papa-"

She stopped short seeing the room empty and walked near his desk.

"Office chale gye kya?"

She mumbled to herself and her gaze fell on the file kept on the desk. Some paper was peeking out of it. She opened the file to put it properly when he saw what the paper was.

Some Rishi Verma's resume. Wait! Rishi Verma? That's her bodyguard.

She started reading his resume.

He is 27 years old. 3 years elder to me. Not bad! Wtf? Not bad? What's not bad? She shook her head at her stupid thought and read further.

Wait! His previous job was with the Shekhawats? The Shekhawats were her father's business partners. They were very reputed people. Then why did he leave their job to work at her place?

When they were in the car while driving to her college Prisha couldn't keep her question in anymore.

"Hey Rishi? You worked with the Shekhawats isse pehle? Toh wo job kyu chhodi?"

She saw him visibly stiffen. Did she ask something wrong? She waited for an answer but he didn't say a word. It was as if he hadn't heard her. But he had. She had seen his reaction so she didn't bother. But what must have happened.

Rishi didn't know whether he should answer her question or how he should answer her at all.

It had been close to a month since Rishi had been appointed as Prisha's bodyguard. She was a tough client to protect. Very unpredictable and smart. Just like her father. And she was nothing like his other clients.

All of them treated him as if he was something inferior to them. But she, she looked at him as if he was so much more. She gave a good boost to his ego and really amused him with her self talks.

Rishi was asked to shift to their place because of Prisha's 1 am cravings. Just like he said, she was very unpredictable.

"Tum aaram se so skte ho aaj. I'm too tired and sleepy to go anywhere. Good night."

She said and went to her room giving him a smile. Wow! That was a first. She somehow always needed one or the other thing each night.

Rishi shrugged and went to his room. He got rid of his gun and other stuff and slumped on the bed. A smile formed on his face thinking about her. She was such a chaotic girl. But he enjoyed his time with her. Stop Rishi! You can't do that!

Prisha on the other hand, giggled when she sent him to his room. She called Saira and her other friends.

"Plan on hai na guys?"

"Plan toh on hai lekin what about your hottie? Wo toh nhi aayega na aaj?"

"Don't worry about him. Usko sone bhej dia maine. Bas aadha ghanta aur. Sab gehri neend mai so jaayenge. I'll sneak out tab."

All her friends yayyed and hooted boosting her up more than she already was.

Prisha got ready in her pajama shorts and tank top. She took her flip flops and car keys in her hands and quietly sneaked out. Rishi was up for drinking water when he saw her running towards her car. Wtf?

He immediately ran behind her and called her name to stop her but she was gone already. He cursed himself for believing her and rushed back inside.

He knocked her brother's door and informed him about it.

"I'll get her back sir. I need your car."

Rishi said with determination and confidence. Her brother insisted to come along but Rishi was firm. It was his fault to believe her and he has to bear the brunt of it.

Taking Priyansh, Prisha's brother's car, he drove off. He had Prisha's location on his phone and was tracking her.

Prisha reached the coffee house were her friends were meeting and saw multiple missed calls from her father and brother. She was going to get scolded a little but she'll see that afterwards. Right now, she wanted some freedom.

She switched off her phone and the location on Rishi's phone disappeared. He cursed loudly bur put her best friend's location on his phone. As her bodyguard, he had to have numbers of all the people she hung out with.

He also made the security around her really strict and managed almost every aspect of the security at home to make sure she remained safe. While driving towards the location, he called his backup security and asked them to reach the place.

Prisha wasn't aware that the stalker was still issuing threats to her father and brother. They didn't tell her because they didn't want to scare her. But he knew. Rishi was aware of it. He had seen the threat messages and pictures of her being followed.

He knew she wasn't safe alone. Especially at night. Prisha was enjoying her coffee with her friends chilling inside the coffeehouse when they heard a loud blast and the cup fell from Prisha's eyes seeing the car she drove in bursting into flames.

She couldn't believe what had happened. Her car was bombed? She ran out of the coffeehouse still not able to believe it all while her friends shouted for her to stay in. She stopped at a distance from her burning car and looked at it with wide eyes and heavy breaths.

What-what if she was inside it when it happened? The thought scared her. It was not a good idea coming here without Rishi. Just as she picked her phone to switch it on and call him a loud shot resonated and she yelled and hid behind an ice cream cart.

Oh God! Someone was here to kill her. Tears of fear formed in her eyes. Rishi reached just on time to see the shooter pointing towards the cart behind which Prisha was hiding and aimed at his hand. He shot his hand which held the gun and then his legs.

Prisha heard some more shots and then loud screams of someone and shut her eyes in fear. Dhe was going to die.

Rishi picked up the man and threw him towards his security backup which arrived a few seconds back.

"Take him away!"

He yelled and looked around for Prisha.

"Prisha!"

He yelled her name and she opened her eyes. Her legs lost energy and she couldn't move. Her throat felt dry but she somehow managed to call his name.

"R-rishi?"

He heard her faint voice and ran to look behind the Ice cream cart and saw her crouched in fear.

"Prisha?"

He bent to her level to examine for any signs of wounds on her body but she launched herself in his arms and sobbed.

"I-I was so scared. I'm -I'm so sorry. I'll never...never do it again."

He picked her up and took her towards the car. He buckled her up and drove off asking his security to make sure her friends reach home safely.

"Rishi? I'm sorry. Please kuch bolo na."

He kept quiet. He was too angry right now. If he had been even a few seconds late, she could have died.

They reached her place and she followed him like a lost puppy. She knew she was going to be scolded a lot. She saw her parents and brother in the living room. Her father was shouting at someone over call while his brother paced around and her mother sat on the couch holding her head.

"Sir! She's here."

She heard Rishi speak and all the three pair of eyes snapped to their direction. Her mother came towards her and slapped her hard. Prisha was not expecting this and stumbled a little holding her cheek.

"Mumma!"

She heard her brother and then she was engulfed in a tight hug by her brother. She cried in his arms. Her mother had never raised an arm on her.

"Koi andaza hai tujhe aaj kya hote hote bacha hai? Kab bachpana khatam hoga tera? Kabhi kisi cheez ke liye nhi roka kisi ne, jo bola hai wo pura hua hai. Ek cheez boli thi ki ghar se akele nhi nikalna, lekin wo bhi samajh nhi aata tujhe?"

Her mother yelled and she sobbed in her brother's chest. He caressed her hair to calm her.

"Aaram se mumma. Paani piyo aap pehle. BP high ho jaayega. You'll fall ill."

Her mother slumped on the couch and held her head while tears fell from her eyes.

"Galti hamari hi hai. Bhut pamper kia hai tujhe. Har cheez ka faayda nhi uthaya jaata Prisha."

This time her father spoke. He sounded too angry.

"S-sorry papa-"

"Nhi! Iss baar mai kuch nhi sununga. You are not going to step out of the house for atleast a week. No college, no parties and no friends. Aur koi late nhi cravings puri nhi hongi. Jo chahiye ghar pr se lo. Understood?"

Prisha nodded knowing she couldn't argue. It was her fault.
