He clutched her hand tighter and pulled her up. She looked at him trying to grasp his next move. He kissed her hands and she blushed looking down.

“Does it make you uncomfortable?”

She frowned at his question and he repeated it with more clarity.

“When I touch you, hold you, come near you, does it make you uncomfortable?”

She shook her head looking into his eyes and he smiled seeing the truth and trust in them.

When his gaze felt too much she turned around and started walking towards the bed only to be pulled back into his chest.

She gasped and prayed he couldn't hear her loud heartbeats.

“Ek promise chahta hu.”

She was more focused on concentrating on his hands around her waist and his lips near her ear.

“Agar koi bhi cheez, be it my actions or words or some other person or any thing else in the world, if it makes you uncomfortable, you'll tell me then and there. Mujhe tumse baadme puchhna na pade. This is something I'd not compromise on. Even if it's me. Promise me Tamanna.”

“How-how can you make me uncomfortable? You have the right on me Aman.”

She whispered and he frowned.

“No I don't. I get the right if you give it to me. You're uncomfortable, my rights end there. Period!”

She closed her eyes and thanked the heavens above for him. If she wasn't already in love with him, she'd have fallen in love with this statement.

“Promise me Tamanna!”

He prompted and she nodded.

“Words, love!”

She bit her lip to stop any sound from escaping when she heard his husky voice call her ‘love’.

“Promise!”

She whispered and he smiled, placing a kiss on the back of her head. She melted into him and he asked another question.

“Are you comfortable enough with me to join you in bed?”

His hands traced patterns on her waist and she breathed heavily while nodding in a trance. What was he doing to her?

He smiled and she shrieked when he picked her up bridal style. She looked at him wide eyed and he kissed her forehead.

She hid her face in his neck blushing profusely and he lowered her down on the bed. She shifted a little and turned her back, hiding her red face. Her heavy breathing gave away her condition and he smiled joining her.

He held her, spooning her from behind and she dug her face in her arms. The night was the first when they slept cuddling, with many more to follow. Till eternity.

Things were much better between Aman and Tamanna. Wouldn't say it was perfect. She was still shy and hesitant in expressing her emotions and feelings. But did not run from him anymore.

While he put in maximum efforts by initiating anything, he was happy she reverted. She sometimes started the conversation herself. Mostly when they were alone.

Aman looked at opportunities to tease her. To elicit reactions out of her. It was so fun. The way she reacted to his touch and words.

He remembered how once he had cornered her in the kitchen and how she had blushed for a long time after that.

Tamanna was in the kitchen helping her mother-in-law and Sapna prepare the dinner. Her mother-in-law’s phone rang and she excused herself while talking to some relative in a happy tone.

She heard Sapna clear her throat.

“Mai-abhi aati hu. Kuch kaam yaad aa gaya.”

She said and left abruptly. Tamanna frowned and looked at her direction only to realise the reason for her sudden departure.

Her husband was standing leaning on the kitchen door with an admiring smile.

She blushed and turned back to hide her red cheeks. A gasp escaped her lips when she felt him behind her. His front pressed against his back.

He nuzzled his nose in her neck and she closed her eyes. Her nails dug in the kitchen counter and she bit her lip to control any sound from escaping her lips.

She was waiting for him to kiss her neck but instead the warmth disappeared. She frowned and turned to look at him. He had a teasing smile on his face and was holding a glass of water to his lips. The naughtiness was clear in his eyes.

She huffed when he winked and left from there leaving her all hot and bothered.

Aman chuckled, reminiscing about the moment. She had given him stink eyes for the rest of the night, pretending to be mad although the red hue was clear on her face.

Right now, they were sitting at the dinner table. Sapna and Tamanna came in with the last dishes and took their seats. Everyone muttered a small prayer and started with their dinner.

Tamanna was filling her glass with juice first, she couldn't get her food down without something to drink beside her.

She took a sip and kept the glass back and was about to pick up her spoon when her hand was pulled into a warm and large one and restricted under the table.

She looked at the culprit wide eyed. Her eyes then raked at the other members to see if anyone noticed, but everyone seemed to be busy with their food.

She again looked at her husband who was giving her the most innocent look ever as if he was not holding her hand captive in his. It was his left hand, so he had no qualms. But her right hand was restricted and she couldn't eat with her left one.

She pleaded him through her eyes but he raised her eyebrow questioning her innocently.

She wiggled her hand trying to get it out of his grasp only for him to intertwine their fingers and hold it more securely.

She took gulps of her juice to calm her racing heart and mentally prayed that no one notices anything, while still trying to get her hand out of his hold.

Aman was enjoying it too much.

“Kya hua beta? Khaana kyu nhi khaa rhi?”

Her mother-in-law asked and Tamanna looked at her wide eyed before snatching her hand out of his hold, which he finally let go having mercy on her.

“Ji! Khaa rhi hu mummy.”

She said hurriedly, taking a bite of her food. Aman chuckled and she stomped her foot on his making him look at her. She smiled at him too sweetly and he smiled.

They retired to their rooms and as soon as the door was shut Aman burst out laughing. Tamanna gave him a stink eye and said.

“Bilkul sharam nhi aa rhi na aapko? Aise sabke saamne mujhe embarrass krke?”

She whined and he looked at her.

“Come on! Isme embarrassing kya tha?”

“As if! Sapna ko sab pata chal gaya ki kya hua tha. She's too smart. And I'm sure mummy ne catch kr lia tha. How will I face them again?”

He chuckled and she glared at him. She started going towards the bathroom only to be pulled back. She bumped into his chest and her hands found their way to his shoulders to balance herself.

“Pasand krti ho mujhe?”

Her eyes widened at his move and question.

“K-kya?”

“Do you like me?”

He repeated his question. She blushed and looked down. Her shy smile gave him every answer. His heart felt like it would leap out of his chest. But he couldn't leave the chance of teasing her.

“Achha ye toh batao, sirf pasand ya pyaar?”

He asked caging her in his arms and she gasped. She blushed and whispered his name softly putting her head on his chest. She could hear his heartbeat and smiled knowing he was as much affected as she was.

Aman smiled and kissed her head, circling his arms around her. She clutched his shirt at his waist and smiled, relishing his touch.

“Tamanna?”

He called her and she hummed. Taking a deep breath he continued.

“I want to tell you something.”

She pulled back slightly and looked at him. He smiled at the progress they've made. There was a time she was hesitant to even look at him. And now, she could gaze into his eyes. Well, unless he says or does something that makes her blush.

“I love you Tamanna. I've always loved you.”

He started and her smile fell. Her heart raced. Her eyes widened. He-he loved her? Her? Since always? Before she could comprehend his words he continued further.
