She sat straighter looking at him alarmed. Shit! That was so embarrassing. She looked away and he walked towards her. He held her hand and put it on his chest dragging it down his abs making her look at him wide eyed.
“Try touching instead.”
He whispered leaning close to her face. Her eyes went to his body. She noticed how his body was stiff. Not an ounce of fat. All pure muscle. He wasn't buff. But fit. And his body felt nice under her fingers.
Her eyes widened when she realized what she was doing and pulled her hand back.
“I-I-I was not staring. And I don't want to touch anything.”
He chuckled and nodded his head, definitely believing her. Note the sarcasm.
She got off the bed huffing and ran to the bathroom making him look at her amused. He loved to see her wild reactions to his actions and words.
Pihu came out of the closet which was connected with the bathroom after wearing simple jeans and tshirt.
She was late for the centre today. Pihu ran a tiffin centre. She knew the other ladies would look after everything but she needed to go.
She ran downstairs and started out of the mansion when she was pulled into a room.
Shrieking at the suddenness she looked at the person in fear. When she realized who it was she glared at him.
“What!”
“Where are you going?”
“I have a tiffin centre to run mister. And I need to look after it.”
He looked at her for a few seconds before nodding.
“Give me 5 minutes.”
He mumbled and pressed a button speaking into the microphone on his desk.
“Amit and Michael! Report to me in the study! Now!"
“I am not taking any bodyguards with me.”
She glared at him which he effectively ignored, making her huff in annoyance. Realising he wasn't going to budge she gave up and sat on the couch at one corner of the room.
A minute later two huge men entered inside greeting him. He instructed them something which she didn't hear to which they nodded.
“Come here Rose!”
She rolled her eyes and walked to him. He held her hand and made her stand in front of him.
“This is Amit and this is Michael. They'll be protecting you out of the mansion. You can go wherever you want to with them following you. Except to your home.”
She glared at him at his last line and stomped out. The men followed her and drove her to her tiffin centre.
“You're just going to stand out here?”
“Yes mam. That's what out job is. To protect you.”
She nodded and said.
“If you want something mai andar hi hu. Water, food, anything, you can come inside. And please stop calling me mam. I have a name. Call me Pihu.”
She said and entered inside when they nodded. Listening to the word mam from two overly grown men, one of whom was much older than her and married with kids and the other her age was weird.
She'd learned that much throughout the way. Michael was married for the past 15 years and had two children. Amit was her age. Still unmarried and extremely quiet.
She exited the centre when it was almost evening and was about to sit in the car when she heard someone call her name. She turned to see her chachi chachu.
She smiled and walked to them.
“Kaha thi tu? Aur kaun tha wo aadmi? Kya bakwaas kr raha tha?”
Pihu sighed and told them the entire story. By the time she finished the two exchanged looks and her chachu said to her.
“Aise kaise hum tujhe rehne de waha. Hum chalte hai tere saath. Hum bhi toh dekhe kisme dam hai jo aise hi tujhe apne paas rakhne ki baat kar raha hai.”
Pihu nodded with a smile, feeling happy to see them worried about her. Only if she knew the reality behind their words and faces.
They reached the mansion and their eyes widened seeing the beautiful place in front of them. Again exchanging looks unknown to Pihu they smirked.
Rudransh too was back home and sitting in his study working on the laptop. Pihu inquired about him and entered after knocking once.
Rudransh looked at the two unknown monkeys who accompanied her and were looking at his place with greedy eyes.
“Ye mere chacha chachi hai and they're here to take me back home.”
She boasted but Rudransh scrutinized the two making them a little nervous.
“Give us two minutes Rose.”
He said and she nodded leaving. What would he say to them? He had to reason to make her stay. She stood outside the room and listened to the conversation going on inside.
She felt happy to see her family here for her. But the next words she heard shook her heart.
“Hume uss ladki mai koi interest nahi hai. Aapko usse jaha rakhna hai jaise rakhna hai rakhiye. Lekin 20 saal usse paala hai humne. Uski padhai, khane-peene, rehne sehne sab pr khub kharcha hua hai. Woh toh hum aise hi nahi chhod sakte na. Toh agar aapko usse yaha rakhna hai toh hume uske badle kuch toh milna chahiye. Warna hum usse yaha nahi rehne denge. Atleast uske waha rehte ghar kharch toh de hi rahi thi.”
Pihu felt her heart break. Was anything ever true? The person she considered her boyfriend, the love of her life chose a company over her. The family she loved and cared for, considered her a burden and an object of money.
Tears fell down eyes which she wiped harshly.
“Oh sure! Why not?”
Rudransh said and pulled out his cheque book. He signed a blank cheque and forwarded it to them.
“Fill whatever amount you want. And never come back here.”
The two grinned wide and tried taking it from him but he pulled it back and tore it into pieces. He smirked and looked at their confused expressions.
“What did you think? I'd say something like that?”
He chuckled and threw the pieces in the dustbin.
“Maana ki mere paas bahut paisa hai. Lekin rather than wasting it on fools like you, I'd buy gifts for my Rose. And what makes you think ki agar mai chahu uske saath rehna toh tum jaise jokers mujhe rok skte ho?”
He then pressed a button and two men entered a minute later.
“Throw these monkeys out and make sure ye iss area ke aas paas bhi na dikhe. If seen, shoot and then question!”
He ordered making the two look at him wide eyed. Pihu ran to the terrace seeing the people she called her family being thrown out. The people who just tried to sell her like she was nothing.
She slumped on her knees and sobbed.
“Why did you leave me mumma papa? Kaha ho aap dono? Kyu mujhe iss duniya mai akela chhod gye? No one is real here. Sab matlabi hai. Sabko sirf apne se matlab hai. No one is like you. I'm left all alone. Please come back!”
She sobbed and hiccuped, wiping her tears harshly looking at the sky. She closed her eyes and let the tears flow while hiccuping.
She felt someone wipe her tears and opened her eyes to see the person because of whom she saw the real face of everyone she considered hers.
“Stop crying over those monkeys! They don't deserve your tears, Rose. No one does!”
She sniffed and wiped her tears with the back of her hand.
“How can you not know what they actually felt for you? Unhe dekhte hi samajh gaya tha why they were here. And some for your lover boy. Everyone knew he was fucking that secretary of his. And you still were with him. Why?”
She took a deep breath and looked at the sky.
“When mumma papa left I was all alone. 4 ya 5 saal ki thi mai. Just a little baby. Jisse suddenly sab kuch chhin gaya. Chachi chachu ne paala. They did not love me like they did to Kashika lekin I was satisfied kyunki thoda hi sahi, pyaar mil rha tha. The love I always kept craving for. After mumma and papa. Then I met Kunal. He was so sweet and caring at first, jab tak usse wo company nhi mili thi. The perfect boyfriend. Mera first relationship tha. Toh I was very shy and reluctant. I didn't want to do anything until I was sure. He kept making moves and you know trying to get close. I kept denying and he seemed to understand. He said he'd wait. However long I wanted. Then he took over the company and everything changed. He got busy. I understood. Ek company sambhalna is a big job. But when he did not have time to even talk to me I felt that somewhere lekin phir he would do something like gift me something or you know leave a sweet, romantic message while I was sleeping and that made me happy. Ki he is busy but he still is with me.”
