"Mumma we can't punish her for something she has no relation with. Radhika ne jo kia usme Kiara ka koi fault nhi hai."

(Whatever Radhika did had nothing to do with Kiara.)

"Kya pata? Kya pata isse pata ho uske affair ke baare mai."

(Who knows? Who knows if she knew about her affair.)

Her father turned to look at her and she looked at him wide teary eyed and shook her head.

"Nhi papa! Mujhe sach mai kuch nhi pata tha."

(No papa! I really didn't know.)

Her father believed her.

"Mai kuch nhi jaanti. Ab faisla aapke haathon mai hai."

(I don't know anything. The decision is in your hands.)

His mother declared and fast forward to the next few hours Aarav was married again.

This time for real. No faux marriage. With his wife's sister. He felt angry. Angry at his mother for suggesting something like this and angry at himself for not being able to fight her.

Kiara sat beside him sniffing and crying at her fate. She wanted to do so much in life but instead she was being married. That too to her sister's husband.

Kiara cried and sobbed in her parents'arms as she was being sent to Aarav's house in her bidaai.

"Radhu ne jo kia uski saza tujhe mil rhi hai. Hume maaf kr dena Kia. Ab hamari izzat tere haath mai hai. Mai haath jod rhi hu tere please tu aisa kuch mat kario."

(Whatever Radhu did you are reeping. Please forgive us. Our respect is in your hands. Please don't do anything like she did.)

Kiara held her mother's joined hands and shook her head.

"Kabhi nhi mumma. I promise."

(Never mumma.)

She cried and her mother kissed her head. Her father just held her to his chest and cried. She was his baby. His little baby. And he had to part with her like this.

That night she sat on the couch in a corner hugging her knees to her chest and cried. She couldn't sleep. Not after what has become of her life.

Whereas Aarav too laid on his bed sideways and stared into oblivion thinking about everything.

The next day Aarav woke up and ran out of the room as soon as the clock struck 6. It seemed like he couldn't stay in the same room as her and that broke her heart more.

The whole day neither Kiara nor his mother came of the room and Aarav did not step into the room.

The next day was the reception and Kiara was being dolled up. Unlike other brides she did not have a smile on her face, she did not have any happiness in her eyes.

The only thing she looked forward to was seeing her parents.

The reception went somewhat well. She and Aarav both had plastered a fake smile on their faces convincing everyone that they were happy.

Kiara hugged her parents as she saw them. They too hugged her tightly and just stayed in that embrace wordlessly.

The next day Kiara woke up early. Well, she couldn't sleep properly. She was really nervous to face his mother.

She was so angry that day. How will she react seeing Kiara?

She went to the kitchen with slow, calculative steps and saw her mother-in-law instructing the cook.

Her gaze fell on Kiara and she turned to her.

"Idhar aao!"

(Come here!)

She called her making her look at her wide eyed. She bowed her head and moved towards her fidgeting with her fingers.

"Darr kyu rhi hai? Gussa nhi hu mai. Teri galti nhi hai beta. Bas uski saza tujhe mil gyi."

(Why are you scared? I am not angry. It wasn't your fault. You just got punished for it.)

Kiara could feel guilt in her voice.

"Nhi aunty aap bura feel mat kro. Galti toh saari dida ki thi. Unhe ye nhi krna chahiye tha aapke aur Aarav jiju ke saath."

(No aunty please don't feel bad. It was dida's mistake. She shouldn't have done this with you and Aarav jiju.)

His mother smiled and caressed her head.

"Waise ab mai aunty nhi hu. Maa bolo. Aur Aarav bhi jiju nhi hai tumhara beta."

(I am not aunty. Call me maa. And Aarav is also not your jiju.)

Kiara's smile fell as she realised the gravity of her words.

"Koi baat nhi bache. Mai jaanti hu time lagega. Lekin ye aadat toh chhodni padegi na. Take your time but give this relationship a chance."

(No problem dear. I know it will take time. But this habit needs to go.)

Kiara nodded and gave her a slight smile and she kissed her forehead lovingly.

"Achha chal. Aaj pehli rasoi hai teri. Kuch banana aata hai?"

(Ok leave it. Today is your first kitchen ritual. Do you know how to make something?)

Kiara shook her head with a sheepish smile.

"Koi baat nhi. Halwa banana hai?"

(No issues. Want to make pudding?)

"Lekin mujhe-"

(But I-)

"Mai sikha dungi. Aaja."

(I will teach. Come.)

She said and Kiara nodded excitedly. She was going to make something on her own for the first time.

His mother instructed her how to make halwa and Kiara followed the steps. 20 mins later the kitchen was filled the sweet aroma of the halwa.

Kiara garnished it and served it in a bowl.

"Taste kriye!"

(Taste it!)

She asked her who smiled and said.

"Pehla haq tere pati ka hai. Usse krwa kr aa."

(Your husband has the first right. Give it to him.)

Kiara ran towards his room excitedly.

"Aarav jiju! I made halwa pehli baar. Try kariye na."

(I made pudding for the first time. Try it na.)

She exclaimed with a huge smile. He threw it away and shouted in anger.

"Jiju nhi hu mai tumhara!"

(I am not your jiju!)

Kiara flinched and looked at him wide eyed. He glared at her and went out in anger. She looked at the halwa on the floor and tears fell from her eyes.

Aarav came out and his mother stopped him.

"Chillaya tu uss pr?"

(You shouted on her?)

She asked angrily and he sighed.

"She called me jiju mumma."

His mother sighed and held his hands.

"Uske liye bhi naya hai ye sab Aarav. Time lagega bache. Lekin tu iss tarah gussa krta rahega toh kaise chalega. Kitne pyaar se banaya tha usne halwa. She was so excited to give it to you. Uss ladki ne jo kia uski saza ek baar toh Kiara bhugat hi rahi hai. Lekin agar hum uske saath aise behave krenge toh kaise chalega."

(Its new for her too Aarav. It will take time. But if you keep getting angry how will it work. She made it with so much love. Whatever that girl did Kiara is already being punished for that. But if we behave like this with her how will it work.)

Aarav realised his mistake and felt guilty for his actions.

"Ab jaa. Talk to her and calm her."

(Now go.)

He asked the servent to clean his room and went to the kitchen to take the halwa in another bowl.

He then went to the room which was now clean but frowned not seeing Kiara there.

He went out in the balcony and saw her sitting on the sofa with her knees to her chest. She was crying.
