Drishti's POV
I felt so angry at his mother-oh wait-she should not be called a mother. I felt so angry at that woman that I wanted to smash her head for hurting him.
"I-I can't. Unke saamne jaate hi I become the 8 year old boy again. Wo saari memories came rushing to me."
(I become the 8 year old boy in front of him.)
He whispered like a child sacred of ghosts.
I cupped his face and made him look at me.
"Tum akele nhi ho. I am there with you. Mai hamesha tumhare saath hu tumhari dhaal ki tarah. Lekin ladai tumhe hi ladni padegi. You have to tell her that she can not affect you anymore. That you win over her now."
(You are not alone. I am always there with you like your shield. But you will have to fight.)
I said looking straight into his eyes promising him that I am always there with him.
He nodded but I could see that he was still reluctant and scared. I smiled naughtily as an idea striked me.
"Kal na tum apne parents ko yaha bulao. I'll also call my parents. Ek meeting rakhte hai."
(Tomorrow call your parents here. Let's have a meeting.)
He looked at me wide eyed.
"Kya? Kyu?"
(What? Why?)
"Kyu matlab? Apne boyfriend ko mere parents se toh introduce krwaungi na."
(What why? I will introduce my boyfriend to my parents.)
I said winking at him and he smiled amusedly.
"Hold on! Boyfriend?"
I nodded and said.
"Banoge mere boyfriend?"
(Will you be my boyfriend?)
He hummed and pretended to think. I cupped his face and pecked his lips hard.
I pulled back quickly and said grinning widely.
"Ab kuch nhi ho skta. Ab toh deal seal ho gyi."
(Nothing can happen now. The deal is sealed.)
He laughed and hugged me tightly.
"I love you."
He whispered and I hugged him tighter.
"I love you more."
I giggled and he chuckled. We pulled back and looked at each other with wide smiles.
None of us knew he leaned in first but the next second our lips were on each others.
He took my lower lip in his mouth and kissed me so softly. I felt my heart flutter, butterflies dance in my stomach and my toes curl at the intensity of his kiss.
We pulled back for breath and rested our foreheads against each others.
"Ab hui hai deal seal."
(Now the deal is sealed.)
He whispered and I bit my lip hugging him tightly.
The same night I called my parents and told them to come here.
"Achanak se? Kya baat hai? Sab thik hai na?"
(Suddenly? What happened? Is everything alright?)
Oh my paranoid mother!
"Sab thik hai mumma. I wanted to introduce you guys to someone."
(Everything is fine.)
Mumma gasped loudly and covered her mouth in horror.
"Hey Bhagwaan! Kya sab kr rhi hai tu waha jaake. Kaha tha maine nhi bheje. Aap sunte kaha hai meri. Nikal gyi ladki haath se."
(Oh God! She is doing all this there. I told you not to send her. But you don't listen. Now see.)
She complained to papa. Me and papa both rolled our eyes.
"Bhagyawaan! Kahi nhi gyi hai beti. Bharosa rakho apni bachi pr. Aur kya ho gaya agar koi pasand aa gaya toh. Humse puchh rhi hai na."
(She hasn't gone anywhere. Trust your daughter. And so what if she likes someone. She is asking us right.)
He explained her. I love you papa. Thank God atleast he is sensible otheriwse God knows how I would have explained them.
I disconnected the call and asked Rakshit whether he invited his parents or not.
He replied in positive and said that they would be here by 7.
Perfect! I could introduce him to my parents first.
Rakshit's POV
I can't believe she is my girlfriend now. The way she handled me yesterday. I fell more in love with her.
After her parents and papa agree to our relationship, I am going to take her to maa's home. My birth mother.
She and papa had a love marriage and maa used to live in her apartment before marriage. After her marriage and after she got pregnant with me, she and papa decided to name that property under my name when I grew up.
Papa told me about it when I turned 18. That's where I lived in the years after I moved from home, then I took my own apartment and that place became my hideout.
No ones knows that I still go there. I am going to take Drishti there.
The next day I woke up earlier than usual because I was really nervous to meet her parents. What if they don't agree for us? What if they don't find me fit for their daughter? So many what ifs ran through my mind.
I heard the bell rang and my palms got sweaty.
Drishti was standing there with a huge smile. She pecked my lips and said.
"Mumma papa are here. Mai unhe lene jaa rhi hu. Jab I call you, ghar aana and haan, relax. They'll love you, just like I do."
(I am going to get them. Come home and yes relax.)
She winked at me and ran down kissing my cheek. I stood at the door smiling widely.
I went inside and started searching through my almirah. I found the perfect outfit and got ready.
I was setting my hair when my phone rang.
"Come home."
She said and disconnected the call. I quickly put on my cologne and went out. I stood in front of her door and sighed nervously.
Taking a deep breath, I rang the bell.
She opened the door. God damn! She looks so beautiful in that yellow saree.
She smiled widely at me and then looked back. Pulling me down by my neck she kissed me for a second and whispered.
"You look sexy!"
Intertwining our fingers, she took me inside.
I joined my hands in a namaste and greeted her parents. I touched their feet.
Her mother was smiling warmly at me while her father was looking at me from top to bottom as if analysing me.
Trying to keep my nervousness at bay, I smiled at him and he smiled back.
Slowly the ice between us started to break, thanks to my beautiful girlfriend.
We talked for about an hour when I received my father's call.
I looked at Drishti and she nodded with a smile. Excusing myself I attended the call.
"Umm-uncle aunty I am really sorry. Lekin mujhe do minute ke liye jaana padega. Mai apne parents ko lekar aata hu."
(I'll have to leave for two minutes. I'll get my parents.)
They nodded and I went. With each floor my heartbeat started to increase. I am going to face her again. I need to be strong. For Drishti. I can't let her down.
I planted a smile on my face and greeted them. I hugged papa and escorted them with me ignoring her.
I did not take them to my apartment rather to Drishti's.
"Tumhara ghar toh ye hai na?"
(Your home is this one right?)
She asked confused.
"Wo papa actually mujhe aapko kisi se milwana tha."
(I want to introduce you to someone.)
I said ignoring her yet again. Papa smirked at me and I smiled sheepishly.
"About time! Chalo phir."
(Come then.)
He patted my back and I rang the bell.
