Chapter 2

Pranshi Singhal is the only child of Abhishek and Suhani Singhal. She had always been a sweet and bubbly girl.

Being the only child of her parents she was extremely pampered and loved but her parents never spoiled her.

She didn't have many memories with her parents. She was only 5 years old when her parents died in an aircrash.

The last memory that she remembered was with her father.

She had always looked to play teacher-teacher. She was playing it with her father who was sitting in front of her with his legs crossed and she was teaching him ABCD.

He was studying like an obedient student but he got distracted as he received a message. After checking the message he kept his phone back and saw his five years old daughter looking at him with an angry pout and her hand on her hips.

"Aap dhyan nhi de rhe ho."

(You are not paying attention.)

She complained angrily and he pulled his little princess in his lap.

"Maaf kr dijiye hume rajkumari. Lekin hume ye nhi padna."

(Forgive me princess. But i don't want to study this.)

He said pouting like her.

"Aap hume 123 pada do."

(You teach me numbers.)

He said and she nodded excitedly and started teaching him that.

Pranshi smiled as she remembered it. This was the most clear memory she had of them. After that she had lost them forever in that horrible crash.

She was left with her tauji's family. Her tauji was a sweet man just like her father. He considered Pranshi as his daughter and treated her like one too.

She had a very good relationship with her taiji and her cousins. She was closest to her tauji's son, Suyash. He was an year younger than her.

Her tauji had a daughter too, Swara, who was happily married and had a one year son.

She was close to both of them but after Swara's marriage she grew closer to Suyash.

She loved everyone in her family. They never made her feel that she did not have her parents.

There was one person she hated with all her guts. Unfortunately for her, it was her bua.

Roshni Singh, was a very cunning woman. Pranshi didn't know why but Roshni always hated Pranshi and wanted to destroyed.

And that is why when her taiji and tauji were away she had arranged an alliance for her.

The woman couldn't have stooped any low than this. She arranged her marriage with the son of a very big and influencial industrialist.

Her bua had done a deal with the man that she would get Pranshi married to his son and then he and his son could do anything they want with her.

When Pranshi had got to know about this she had protested and confronted the woman but she had slapped and hit her and locked her in her own room.

The room was opened only to give her food to keep her alive and that too Roshni herself got not wanting to trust any of her workers.

She was locked in her room till the wedding day arrived. Pranshi had cried, shouted and broke everything in her room but in vain. No one could do anything for her. The workers were helpless, She didn't have her family with her and did not have any medium through she could.

On her supposed wedding day, she was finally freed from her room only to be taken to get ready.

She was sitting in her room crying over her fate. Praying to God for some miracle to happen when Suyash entered the room looking disheveled.

She saw him and launched herself in his arms.

"Tu thik hai?"

(Are you ok?)

He asked carefully examining her and she nodded wiping her tears.

"Hume ye shaadi nhi krni Suyash. Wo aadmi-buaji ne usse-"

(I don't want to marry Suyash. That man-buaji did-)

She tried to explain but could not.

"Shh! Hum jaante hai. Tu tension mat le. Hum aisa kuch nhi hone denge."

(I know. You don't worry. I won't let any such thing happen.)

She asked him how he got to know and he told her that one of the helpers secretly told her best friend who happened to be Suyash's girlfriend.

He took her out of the home secretly and dropped her on the railway station. He gave her some money and said.

"Chali jaa yaha se. Hume bhi mat batana tu kaha hai. Jab tu yaha nhi hogi safe rahegi. Jaa."

(Go from here. Don't tell me too where you are going. You will be safe if not here. Go.)

He said and she nodded and went away. She purchased a ticket to Delhi and boarded the train.

She sat on the seat and wiped the tears that leaked her eyes. She was leaving the city she grew up in.

Just as the train started she saw her so called would be husband's men looking for her. She ducked down to hide from them but it was too late. One of the men had seen her.

They were running after the train but for her luck the train caught speed and she feld off.

But she knew that they would follow her on the next train and she didn't have much time.

As she reached Delhi, she ran out of the station looking for some help.

After running for what felt like hours, her legs felt sore and she was tired of running. She reached a busy market and ran as fast as she could as she caught a glimpse of one of his men a little away from her.

That's when she asked a random stranger for help and luckily for her, he helped her without any questions.

She bend down and hid herself in the backseat of his car trying to calm her breaths.

Realising the situation, Anay quickly drove off from there. When he was sure that the men could not get here he stopped the car and looked at her.

"Umm-tum uth sakti ho. Wo log yaha nhi aayenge."

(You can get up. Those men are not here.)

She slowly got up and peeked out to confirm and when she was sure that she was safe, she sat straight and gasped heavily.

He passed her a water bottle and she quickly grabbed it and emptied the bottle in a go. She took deep breaths to calm her herself and said after some time.

"Thank you. Hamari madad krne ke liye."

(For helping me.)

She said feeling extremely grateful to him.

If he would not have been there, she couldn't even imagine what those men would have done to her.

"Wo log the kaun aur tumhara peecha kyu kr rhe the?"

(Who were they and why were they following you?)

He finally asked the question that had been disturbing him for so long.
