Chapter 2

Ditya was getting ready for the party. She chuckled sheepishly remembering the scene from the kitchen a few minutes ago.

She was very good at controlling her emotions but didn't know why she always acted carelessly in front of him.

She did not do it deliberately but something happens to her everytime he is around.

She wore a simple cut sleeved gown which hugged her at the right places accentuating her waist. She had lost around 10 kgs of weight over the years and had a good figure. She had naturally straight hair which she was keeping open unlike her usually messy bun.

She also applied kajal and liner with a little mascara. She applied her favourite shade of nude lipstick. She did not like to do much makeup but liked to get ready on special occasions.

'Or the occasions he was around.'

She had always had a little crush on him. She had seen him since childhood and he was perfect in everything. A perfect best friend, a perfect son, had a perfect body, a handsome face and was a perfect cook. What else did a girl want? Right?

She smiled as she remembered the moment her little innocent crush started blooming into something as pure and strong as love.

Around 7 years ago, in Viraj's wedding in Jaipur, she had for the first time wore a lehanga.

She was already very nervous about her looks when her blouse decided to have fun with her and broke. Thankfully she was already sitting on a chair when that happened and she immediately leaned back clutching her blouse tightly.

She covered herself with her dupatta but did not know how to contact anyone. Her phone was with her brother who was busy God knows where.

She was panicking and thinking of what to do when she heard his soft and concerned voice asking her what happened.

She was too embarrassed and scared to say anything so she just asked him to call her mother or his.

He must have realised what happened because the next second he was removing his coat. He gave her his coat and stood in front of her with his back turned and covering her.

She was touched by his action and quickly wore the coat clutching it tightly.

He then took her to her room and asked her to change in something else.

That was the first time he had openly complimented her and she was shocked, surprised and blushing at the same time.

She loved how he handled the situation without letting her feel embarrassed.

'Your brother too would have done the same.'

Her mood dropped. She just prayed he didn't think of her as his sister. She couldn't bear it.

She had noticed how he looked at her sometimes. She got confused with his behaviour. One moment he looked at her as if she was something very special to him and the next moment his demeanor would change completely and he would start avoiding her.

She broke out of her thoughts when Kiara called her. Kiara was asking her if everything was ready or not. Ivaan would be coming home any time.

She nodded and said that everything was ready.

Ditya was really excited today. Kiara was going to tell Ivaan about her pregnancy.

No one else in the house knew about it except her.

Ivaan came home and they welcomed him with a chorus of 'Happy Birthday!'

Ditya sent him to his room to change. He and Kiara came down after 15 minutes and Ditya made him wear a sache which read 'Father to-be'.

Everyone was surprised to read it. Ditya asked Ivaan to read the sache and he too was surprised. He looked at Kiara to confirm it and she nodded. He hugged her and she hooted and clapped and everyone followed suit.

After that they cut the cake together and fed each other first. Then it was distributed among everyone.

Aadrik then went to the kitchen to prepare everything. He already had the base of everything ready. He had prepared cheeseballs, paneer tikka, manchurian and his special mix sauce pasta.

He was preparing manchurian while the cheeseballs were frying.

Ditya came in and stood near him with her hands behind her and looked at everything. She sniffed the aroma from the food and her stomach grumbled lightly.

"Mai kuch help krwaau?"

(Should i help?)

She asked eyeing the cheeseballs. Aadrik knew why she was being so generous and helpful but nodded nonethesless.

"Dhyaan se."

(Careful.)

He said and she nodded and took the cheeseballs out. She kept them in a plate and fried the rest of them. She was looking at them trying to sneak one. She looked at Aadrik who was busy in chopping onions for the pasta.

She smiled naughtily and sneaked one in and almost moaned as the cheese burst in her mouth.

Aadrik shook his head at her antics. He knew she wanted to have one but would not if he was looking so he pretended not to pay attention.

She turned to look at him and froze. He was smirking at her.

She looked away pretending to fry the cheeseballs. She heard him chuckle and pouted.

He served the manchurian in a bowl and saw her looking at it from the corner of her eyes.

Smiling softly he took one in a fork and forwarded it near her lips. She looked at him shocked but ate it lest he changed his mind. He wiped the little gravy near her lips and they looked at each other.

Ivaan was looking at everything with a mischievous smile on his face.

'So it is true! Mazza aayega!'

He thought evily as he made plans of how he was going to tease Aadrik. He had hidden something like this from him while Ivaan shared everything with him.

He had broken two of the bro codes. one was falling in love with his sister but he obviously couldn't control that so Ivaan forgave him on this one but hiding it from him.

He was going to pay for it. Ivaan thought smirking evily.

He was going to be tortured until he confesses it in front of him.
