Sanvi mumbled looking away.

"I told you doctor. He doesn't have a father."

"He does. You just don't know about him."

Reyansh said making Sanvi look at him wide eyed.

'How did he know?'

She looked away and he continued.

"Ek medical fact batau aap sab ko. Kisi bhi insaan ka dna kisi stranger ke saath 0.2% se jyada match nhi ho skta."

(Shall i tell you a medical fact. No one's DNA would match with a stranger with more than 0.2%.)

Sanvi's eyes widened after hearing the information and she looked at Reyansh wide eyed. She then looked at Ayansh and her face paled as she realised what he was talking about.

Her parents too were shocked to listen to this. Ayansh whereas was confused.

"But how is this possible? Aap hi ne kaha tha na ki mera dna 49% match hota hai."

(You only said that my DNA matched 49%.)

He asked and Reyansh looked at him. He saw Sanvi who looked like she would faint any moment. He knew she wasn't comfortable discussing this in front of everyone.

He requested everyone to leave and asked Sanvi and Ayansh to take a seat in front of him. He passed water to Sanvi who drank it in a go.

Ayansh was still very confused. 

Sanvi looked at Reyansh with tears in her eyes and he nodded his head assuring her.

"You can tell."

She took a deep breath and started narrating the incident.

"Around one and half years pehle, papa had to go for an urgent kidney transplant. We took him to the nearest hospital. KK Hospital."

"KK Hospital? Ye wahi hai na bhai jo-"

(This is the same where-)

Ayansh asked and Reyansh nodded asking Sanvi to continue.

"Unhone surgery ke liye 3 crore demand kiye. Kuch samajh nhi aa rha tha ki kaise itne pasie arrange karu aur papa ki health deteriorate hoti jaa rhi thi."

(They demanded 3 crores for the surgery. Papa's health was deteriorating and i couldn't understand from where to arrange the money.)

Sanvi wiped off the tears that fell her eyes.

"That's when i met Sam and Rachael. They were a foreign couple. India aaye the for surrogacy."

(They came to India for surrogacy.)

Ayansh looked at her.

"They gave an offer. Mai unke liye surrogate banu aur wo badle mai papa ke surgery ke saare costs handle karenge."

(I become surrogate for them and they would handle all the costs of papa's surgery.)

Ayansh was looking at the floor slowly processing what was happening here.

"I didn't have any other option at the time. I accepted their offer. Unhone papa ki surgery ke costs handle kiye. Rachael ko eggs nhi bante the isliye they wanted a surrogate for her. Pehle the doctors suggested that mere eggs Rachael mai inject krke the process could be done. Lekin jab wo nhi ho paaya toh Sam ka semen mere eggs mai inject kia."

(They handled costs of papa's surgery. Rachael couldn't produce eggs. First they suggested to inject my eggs in he. But that couldn't happen and Sam's semen was injected in my eggs.)

Sanvi closed her eyes and let the tears fall. 

"Ayansh KK Hospital gaya tha for his orchitis treatment. He had an infection in his testicles. Maine usse mana kia to go there and shifted his treatment in this hospital. KK Hospital is a big scammer."

(Ayansh went to KK Hospital for his orchitis treatment. I told not to.)

Reyansh said looking at Sanvi. He turned to Ayansh and asked.

"I assume wo pehle hi tumhara semen sample le chuke the?"

(I assume they already took your semen sample?)

Ayansh nodded wordlessly as he understood what he meant. He looked at Sanvi and she closed her eyes as she spoke the next words.

"I was six months pregnant when we got to know ki jo semen unhone mere andar inject kia wo kisi aur ka tha. Sam and Rachael denied to take the baby because they didn't want another man's baby."

(The semen they injected in me wasn't Sam's.)

Sanvi's voice broke towards the end.

"DNA test se ye confirm hai ki Adhyay Ayansh aur tumhara beta hai."

(DNA test confirms that Adhyay is your and Ayansh's son.)

Reyansh finally said the words of confirmation and tears fell from both of their eyes.

He left the cabin leaving the two in privacy.

Ayansh just kept looking at her knowing what to say.

"I have a baby."

He muttered after some time and Sanvi choked back a sob at how emotional he sounded.

Ayansh remembered his baby's condition and his heart pained.

He got up and went towards the window. He opened the top buttons of his shirt feeling suffocated. His son was in such a condition and he didn't even know about his existence till date.

Sanvi got up and went near him.

"I am sorry-"

He turned around and shook his head wiping his tears.

"Its not your fault."

He said and Sanvi looked at him.

"Adhi! Ye sab kya ho gaya? Itna chhota sa hai mera bachha."

(What has happened? My baby is so small.)

She whispered and finally let her cries free. She was so scared for her baby. Ayansh pulled her in his arms and softly patted her head and rubbed her back.

He too was scared. But he trusted Reyansh. If Reyansh had said nothing will happen to Adhyay then he will be fine.

"Shh! Kuch nhi hoga usse. Trust me. Reyansh bhai is one of the best cardiologists. Wo kuch nhi hone denge Adhyay ko."

(Nothing will happen. He won't let anything happen to Adhyay.)

He said and kissed her head softly repeating the same thing. She cried for some time and pulled away quickly when she realised what she was doing.

She wiped her tears and looked away embarrassed.

"I am sorry."

She mumbled and he muttered an 'Its ok'. She felt herself in a very awkward situation. He was the father of her baby and she had just met him.

Ayansh realised that she felt awkward. He too didn't know how to react. 

"I think hume bahar chalna chahiye."

(I think we should go out.)

He said to ease the awkwardness and she nodded. They went out and seeing everyone's face they realised that they knew the truth.

Sanvi explained her parents and Ayansh told Kiaan and Adarsh what all had happened.

They didn't understand how to react. They were both happy and worried at the same time.

Ayansh asked Adarsh and Kiaan to go home and explain everyone about the situation.

Sanvi too asked her parents to go home and take some rest. The denied but Sanvi convinced them.

Ayansh and Sanvi went inside the ward where their baby was laying.

Sanvi's eyes again filled with tears as she him.

She kissed his head and caressed it lightly. She turned around trying to control her sobs.

Ayansh hugged her trying to console her. They sat on the sofa near the bed.

Reyansh told them that Adhyay's blood levels were normal now and they would start the treatment from tomorrow.

Reyansh looked at Ayansh and assured him through his eyes.

Ayansh looked at Sanvi and held her hand and intertwined their fingers. She didn't object and just laid her head on his shoulder.
