Adhya Bindal. Daughter of Udit and Kirti Bindal. Her father is a big industrialist.

Adhya had always been very creative and she knew that she could not do something monotonous.

Interior designing intrigued her a lot and she decided to pursue it. She was very passionate about her work and people also loved her work.

She came back home after work very tired. She wasn't hungry so she decided to skip dinner.

She immediately went to her room and slumped on the bed after freshening up. 

She kept her phone on the side table and her eyes went to picture kept there.

It was a picture of her and Kiaan on their farewell day. She had wore saree for the first time and was very scared of her falling and the saree opening. Kiaan had not left her side even for a second.

She smiled remembering the day which soon faded away as she remembered he was getting married.

Her heart became heavy as she thought about the day he told her that.

It was around two months back she was just back from work and sitting with her brother, Arjun when she received his call and a huge smile formed on his face.

"Hello. Mai soch hi rhi thi ki aaj Kiaan ka phone nhi aaya."

(I was just thinking Kiaan didn't call today.)

She teased him and he chuckled.

"Achha sunn.. Kuch bhut important batana hai."

(Listen.. I wanted to tell something important.)

"Haan bol."

(Yes tell me.)

"I'm getting married."

There was silence for a moment and then she burst out laughing.

"Good joke. Ab seriously bata kya baat hai."

(Now tell me what's the matter.)

"Arre! Mazak nhi. Arpita pata hai na tujhe. We are getting married. Ghar mai sabse baat ho chuki and they are ok with it. Meri shaadi hai do mahine baad."

(You know Arpita right. We have talked to everyone in the house. I am getting in two months.)

He said the last excitedly and she felt the phone slip from her hands. She controlled herself and asked again.

"Arpita? Tum shaadi kar rhe ho? But?"

(You guys are getting married?)

"I know thoda sudden hai but we love each other. Aur usse jaldi shaadi karni hai. Shaadi toh honi hi hai na aaj nhi toh kal toh i thought why not."

(I know its a little sudden. And she wanted to get married early. We had to get married so i thought why not.)

Adhya's eyes had started watering and Arjun who was busy in his phone all the while now looked at her alarmed.

Kiaan continued to say something but Adhya was past listening. Her heart was breaking inside thinking about him with someone else.

Her eyes still filled up with tears as she remembered the time. Tomorrow is his engagement and her heart felt like someone was throwing daggers at it. How will she be able to see him with someone else. Become someone else's. 

The problem was that she could not even tell him about her feelings. She didn't want to lose the relationship they had.

Tu hi bata dil tujhe samjhau kaise

Jisse chahta hai tu usse najdeek laau kaise

Yun toh har tamanna har ehsaas hai wo mera

Magar usko yeh ehsaas dilau kaise

She sighed sadly as she wiped her tears and prepared herself for the upcoming event.

The next day was his engagement.

Adhya was smiling seeing Kiaan looking so happy. He was asked to sit on a sofa in front of the stage and motioned her to sit near him and she shook her head making him whine mentally.

The music changed and so did Adhya's mood. Arpita was coming in the hall but something seemed to be off. She did not look happy. Or maybe it was just nervousness. 

*Or maybe not

The ceremony started and soon it was time for the rings exchanging.

Adhya made an excuse and left from there. She could not see it happening.

She was strong enough to let him go but not strong to see him become someone else's.

Ae khuda mat milaya kr unse

Jinse tu mila nhi skta

Kiaan looked around for her and frowned not seeing her. Sakshi nudged him and motioned him to make Arpita wear the ring and he did so but his eyes still searched for her.

She came back when it was time for dinner and Kiaan motioned at her to sit near him which she denied.

She sat a few seats away from him making his mood sour.

She knew this was needed. He needed to understand that he was getting married to someone else and he would have to create a little distance between them. No wife would like their husband being close to some other woman.

After dinner they retired to their rooms and Kiaan went to her room after changing. She had removed her jewellery and undid her hair and was about to change when he knocked.

She was surprised to see him standing there.

"Tu yaha kya kar rha hai iss waqt?"

(What are you doing here at this time?)

"Tu mujhe avoid kyu kar rhi hai?"

(You are avoiding me?)

He asked straightforward. She turned the other side and took out the clothes she wanted to wear.

"Avoid nhi kar rhi. Tujhe yeh realise karwa rhi hu ki teri shaadi ho rhi hai aur ab tujhe harr cheez mai mujhe nhi Ar-Arpita ko include krna chahiye."

(I am not avoiding you. I am making you realise that you are getting married now and you have to share your things with Ar-Arpita now and not me.)

"Adhya!"

"Nhi Kiaan. She is going to be your wife. Kaisa lagega usse jab uska pati usse pehle kisi aur ke paas jaaye. Apni baatein apni feelings share kare."

(No Kiaan. How will she feel when her husband goes to someone before her. Share his feeling with someone else.)

She said looking at him. He was taken aback by her reaction. She looked away when she felt tears brim her eyes.

"But how can i? Mujhe aadat hai teri Adhya."

(I am habitual of you.)

"Toh change kar iss aadat ko."

(Then change this habit.)

She said again and went to the washroom to change. She leaned on the washbasin and let her tears free.

She kept a hand over her mouth to control her sobs.

After crying for some time she changed quickly and went out. He was still sitting there looking deep in his thoughts.

He looked up when he heard the door open and said.

"Achha listen. Sirf shaadi tak let it be na. Ho skta hai uske baad aadat apne aap badal jaaye."

(Listen. Let it be till marriage. Maybe after marriage things change.)

"Aur agar nhi badli toh?"

(And if it does not?)

He opened his mouth and then closed it scratching his head sheepishly. 

"Wo dekha jaayega. Tu abhi toh mat bhaag na."

(We will see that. You don't run right now.)

She smiled slightly and shook her head. He smiled widely seeing her smile and she turned away hiding her smile.

The next two days were Haldi and Mehandi. The days went by so quick that no one realised that tomorrow is the wedding day.

Adhya lay in her room thinking about everything happening. Only if she could do something. But she didn't want to snatch everyone's happiness.

No one was aware about the turn of events that was about to happen.
