Arohi went to Damini's room first. She sat with her for some time. Karan had passed away in his sleep an year back.
After helping Damini lay back she went to her room and changed her clothes.
She slumped on the bed and started to think about what Arnav had said.
Arnav flirting with her was nothing new for her. He had done that since she had remembered. But she thought that he did that because of his naughty nature.
He felt something for her was something she never imagined.
Truth be told, she did have a crush on her. A pretty strong one at that.
A smile formed on her lips as she remembered the day she realised that she likes him.
She was in her fourth year. She was roaming in the corridor looking around for a professor she had a doubt from.
She saw the queen bee of their college looking at someone sensually. Arohi rolled her eyes at her desparate behaviour but she frowned when she saw the person to whom she was giving the looks.
'What is he doing here?'
Arnav was coming towards her with a smile. He stood in front of her with a smile when the girl came and thrusted a piece of paper in his hand leaving him shocked.
She sauntered away leaving him confused and her shocked and angry.
She didn't know why but she felt really angry. She snatched the paper from his hand, tore it and threw it in the dustbin.
She turned to him and saw him looking at her amusedly.
"Wo achhi ladki nhi hai."
(That girl is not good.)
She said defending herself and he nodded trying to control his laughter.
"Aap yaha kya kar rhe hai?"
(What are you doing here?)
"Shayad aap bhul rhi hai madam i am an alumni of this college. Kuch documents chahiye the. Aur aapko ye dena tha."
(I think you are forgetting i am an alumni of this college. Needed some documents. And wanted to give you this.)
He said and took out a chocolate from his pocket. She squealed and snatched it from him making him laugh.
"Thank you."
She squealed hugging the chocolate to her heart. She was a big chocolate lover. And Arnav has been giving her chocolate since they were kids. Whenever he would meet her, he would always give her a chocolate.
"Itna sukha sukha thank you."
(Such a dry thank you.)
He said leaning near her face and frowned.
"Mai aapni chocolate share nhi karaungi."
(I won't share my chocolate.)
She said turning her chocolate away. He laughed and shook his head. He tapped his cheek and her eyes widened. He laughed and mumbled 'just kidding' and left.
She didn't know what came over her but when she saw the queen bee giving her jealous looks she held his hand.
He looked at her questioning. She leaned forward and cupped his cheek. She planted a soft kiss on his cheek and his heartbeat fastened.
She thanked him again and left from there.
She still didn't understand how she got so bold but that day she realised that she had started liking him.
And those feelings had increased over the years. His constant flirting with her didn't help.
But she was not sure whether it was love. She couldn't ask anyone about it.
'Google!'
She immediately searched Google. There were a few results asking questions to confirm.
1. You think about them all the time.
No shit Sherlock! She did think about him all day long.
2. You feel safe with them.
She did feel safe whenever she was with him.
3. You want to spend a lot of time together.
She never said that to him but she did want his company for however long she could.
4. You feel excited but a little nervous when they are around.
Yes she did. The excitement to see him, talk to him but a little nervousness of God knows what.
5. You feel jealous when you see them with someone else.
Her mind went back to all the times she had felt uneasy and jealous seeing him talking and laughing with some female.
6. You crave them physically.
Arohi blushed but didn't deny the fact. She did crave his touch. Not the sexual one but innocent touches. Like forehead kisses or even innocent hugs. But she wanted him near.
She slumped back on the bed as she thought in her mind.
'Have i always been in love with him? I have felt these symptoms since forever.'
She bit her lip and smiled shyly.
'Oh my God! I love him. I love Arnav!'
A dreamy smile formed on her lips as she imagined him near her.
She opened the chocolate he gave her and popped a piece in her mouth. The smooth velvety taste burst on her tongue.
She moaned savouring the taste.
While Arnav was laying on his bed thinking about what happened today.
He didn't know what came over him and said all that to her. He knew this could jeopardize their relationship but he just couldn't keep it inside him anymore.
He sighed and prayed to God that his move should not affect their relation. He smiled remembering the day he realised his feelings for her.
Four years back they had gone on a trip to a hill station with family. Everyone was sitting together playing games when they heard Arohi's panicked scream.
They ran towards the sound and saw her lying unconscious on the floor. Adi immediately held her in his arms and they took her to her room. Devesh called a doctor.
The doctor examined her and told that she had hit her head somewhere and fainted due to the impact but she was alright.
She woke up after an hour and said that she has slipped from the stairs.
Everyone sighed in relief when they saw her alright. Arnav went to his room and slumped on his bed.
He felt that he would die when he saw her lying unconscious. The thought of something happening to her bought tears to his eyes.
He had realised that he had fallen for her. He had fallen in love with his Ruhi. And he had smiled like a fool after that. ************************************** Please do leave your comments.
