Everyone was roaming around getting the works done. It was their princess' engagement after all.

Dhriti was ready and sitting in her room with the kids.

All of her bhabhis and Tanvi came to take her downstairs. On the entrance her mother put kala teeka behind her ears and her father patted her head smiling.

Utkarsh's tika was done and Dhriti was made to sit on the center of the stage. The ladies of Utkarsh's family surrounded her and her Godh ceremony started.

After about half an hour the ceremony was done and Dhriti was made to sit besides Utkarsh in front of the stage.

As soon as she sat beside him he held her hand and intertwined their fingers making her lower her head shyly.

The stage was cleared for the dance program.

The function started with lighting a diya in front of Lord Ganesha. Then was the Ganesha Vandana.

Everyone performed on their songs one by one and finally it was Dhriti's turn to perform.

She did a solo on Makhna and then was Utkarsh's solo on Mere naal aaja soniye followed by their couple dance on Chal pyaar karegi and Tum mile.

Both of them were lost in their own world. They broke out of their reverie by everyone's clapping and hooting.

Rashi got the rings and both of them made each other wear the rings while everyone showered flowers at them.

After the ring ceremony the photo session started. Every guest and family members came up one by one to get their pictures with the couple.

After a torturous two hours they were finally freed after the family and their couple photographs.

They were taken to the dinner table. Utkarsh held her hand and rubbed the back of her hand soothingly. He knew she was feelings sleepy. She didn't have the habit of waking up early and from the past few days they have been waking up early.

The food was served and Dhriti was about to start eating when Adarsh stopped her.

"Arre aise kaise! Apna rule khud hi bhul gyi?"

(Not like this! You forgot your own rule?)

He teased. Dhriti smiled understanding his words and turned to Utkarsh. She took some rice in a spoon and forwarded it in front of him making them tease her more.

Utkarsh too fed her with a soft smile and his cousins teased him causing his ears to turn a little red.

After dinner everyone went back to their rooms as the next day too they had to wake up early as it was their Haldi ceremony.

Dhriti laid on her bed and smiled looking at the ring in her finger. She traced it softly.

On the other hand the smile was never leaving Utkarsh's face. He stared at the ceiling while his fingers unconsciously played with the ring.

In just a few days she would be beside him as his wife.

Just the thought of it was enough for the smile on his face to grow even more.

The next day everyone woke up early. The bride and the groom side were given separate rooms for the ceremony.

Dhriti and Utkarsh were made to sit in the middle of the hall on a stool.

The first was the Tel Chadana ceremony followed by the Haldi ceremony. By the end of the ceremony both Dhriti and Utkarsh were covered in yellow paste.

They were sent to their rooms to freshen up. Dhriti then wore a saree for the puja.

She went downstairs and they had their breakfast followed by a short puja in which holy threads were tied on their wrists and ankles.

The rest of the day they did not have much work so everyone gathered in the hall provided to them and played games.

After dinner everyone retired to their rooms preparing for the next day which was the Mehandi.

The next day everyone woke up early and Dhriti after having breakfast sat down in front of the mehandi artists to get her mehandi done. The elder ladies at along with her.

By afternoon everyone was there and dancing. Dhriti's legs were done and hands were halfway.

Bhavna fed her lunch and then the artists continued their work after having their lunch.

Dhriti was humming the songs while everyone danced. By evening almost everyone's mehandi was done and Dhriti's was almost dried.

Adarsh pulled Dhriti along with them and they started dancing. In between Pranati pulled Utkarsh too and Dhriti quickly turned around not showing her his face.

It was believed that the groom and bride do not see each other after Haldi till their marriage. And she respected her rituals.

He smiled and pressed a quick kiss on her head making everyone hoot at them. She went back and sat down after having water and saw him dancing with his back towards her.

Though she could not see his face she could feel his happiness. Her lips curled into a smile seeing everyone happy. Even her father and tauji were dancing today.

She was going to be a married woman tomorrow. She is going to leave her family behind and move into a new one.

The thought of leaving her family bought tears in her eyes. Tanvi saw her and sat beside her.

Dhriti put her head on her shoulder and a few tears escaped her eyes which were softly wiped away by Tanvi.

"I am so happy for you Dhrits! Utkarsh jiju loves you so much. You are very lucky meri jaan."

She smiled at looked back at everyone.

At night she went to her parents room and sat down in between them. She put her head on her father's shoulder who kissed her head and patted her back and head lovingly.

They spent the night talking to each other and remembering many bittersweet memories.

She went back to her room in the early hours of the morning and slept till noon. She was woken up when the beauticians came to get her ready.
