After dinner everyone was sitting together and were busy in some or the other conversation.

"Toh bhaisahab jis kaam ke liye aaye the wo shuru kre?"

(So shall we start what we came here for?)

Arjun said after some time gaining everyone's attention.

"Hume toh Dhriti bhut pasand hai. Bas Utkarsh ki haan honi chahiye."

(We like Dhriti a lot. It should be Utkarsh yes.)

His mother said teasingly. Utkarsh looked confused at what they were talking about.

"Bete aapko pasand hai meri beti? Shaadi karenge usse?"

(Beta do you like my daughter? Will you marry her?)

Arjun asked clearing his confusion. His eyes widened and his mouth hung open.
*Aise

"Mai-shaadi-"

(I-marriage-)

He stuttered and his father laughed.

"Kyu nhi krni kya?"

(Don't you want to?)

"Krni hai na."

(I want to.)

He said quickly making everyone laugh and Dhriti lower her head.

After taking everyone's consent they did the roka ceremony.

They were sitting together on the couch. Their mothers were busy together as Anju had to show some jewellery to them. And the men were busy discussing about the wedding dates and preparations.

"Tumhe pta tha ye sab?"

(You knew all this?)

He asked her and she nodded.

"Bataya kyu nhi?"

(Why didn't you tell me?)

"Surprise dena tha."

(Wanted to surprise you.)

She whispered as if telling some secret. He smiled and kissed her forehead. Her brothers who were seeing everything smiled seeing the love he had for their sister.

It has been a month to their roka and their engagement was two months later and wedding would be two days later.

Right now she was sprawled on the sofa watching tv. Adarsh came at sat on the armchair.

A few minutes later, Kiaan came running to him looking very worried.

"Kya hua? Aise bhagte hue kaha se aa rha hai?"

(What happened? Why are you running like this?)

Adarsh asked his almost 2 year old son.

"Papa taiji ko bachao."

(Save taiji.)

He said cutely which a worried look on his face.

"Kya hua taiji ko?"

(What happened to taiji?)

"Sahil tauji unhe phirse khaa rhe hai. Maine dekha."

(Sahil tauji is eating her again. I saw.)

He said and started pulling Adarsh with him while Dhriti burst out laughing at the cuteness of her nephew. A few weeks ago the same thing had happened.

Apparently, he had seen the couple kissing and assumed that his tauji was eating his taiji.

Adarsh too laughed and pulled his son into his arms. He kissed his head.

"Kuch nhi hua taiji ko. Unki na tabiyat kharab hai toh tauji ko doctor ne kaha tha ki taiji aise thik jo jaayengi."

(Nothing happened to taiji. Her health is not ok so doctor told tauji that she will be ok like this.)

He gave the first excuse that came to his mind and mentally grimaced at his own excuse.

Dhriti kept a hand on her mouth to muffle her laughter.

During dinner Kiaan asked.

"Taiji ab tabiyat thik hai aapki?"

(Taiji are you alright now?)

Pranati looked confused and Adarsh and Dhriti again burst out laughing. Everyone looked confused and Dhriti's laughter doubled when her mother asked Pranati what had happened to her health.

Concluding both the laughing idiots to be mad they went back to their dinner.

Later at night when everyone was returning to their rooms Dhriti heard Adarsh asking Sahil to lock his door whenever he is with Pranati and not to traumatize his son more. She laughed and ran back to her room when she saw Sahil glaring at her.

A week later Dhriti was going through some of her designs when her phone pinged indicating his message.

She gasped looking at the image he send. So this was the surprise he was talking about. He had tattooed her name on his chest. Above his heart.

He had been telling her that he wanted to do something for her and wanted to surprise her.

She felt very emotional. How could she be so lucky to get a man like him to love her so much. Her phone rang indicating his call.

"I can't wait for you to be mine. Forever."

"Me too."

She breathed and both of them kept talking to each other and Dhriti didn't even realise when sleep consumed her.

Utkarsh chuckled when he heard her soft snores.

"Sleep tight Jaana."

He murmered and disconnected the call. He laid back and his fingers unconsciously traced her name on his heart.

It did hurt a bit but the satisfaction he felt when he saw her name engraved on his heart was worth every pain he would ever bear for her.

The shopping started a few weeks later. Both the families got busy in the wedding preparations. Everyone was divided into groups taking care of the task assigned to them.

In between all this another good news came when Tanvi and Abeer told her that they were also getting married.

"Oyee hamari shaadi ki dates clash nhi honi chahiye."

(Our marriage dates should not clash.)

Dhriti had said making both of them laugh.

"Don't worry nhi hongi. Teri aur hamari shaadi mai pure ek mahine ka farak hai."

(It won't. Our marriages have a whole month's difference.)

Time passed by quicker than they have imagined. Today they were going to the venue where all the functions including the engagement would be held.

Dhriti had a good look at her room one last time. She was looking at everything with glossy eyes when she felt someone hug her.

She turned around to see her little munchkins looking at her with wobbly lips. Samaira and Nyra were still very small but the rest five were there.

Adi was the first one to hug her.

"Bua apne promise kiya tha aap nhi jaaoge."

(Bua you promised you won't go.)

He said slightly sniffing. Seeing him Aru and Veer also started to sniff.

"Bui aap hume chhod ke kyu jaa rhe ho. I promise mai aur Veer apko kabhi tang nhi karenge. Kiaan bhi nhi karega. Hai na Veer. Hai na Kiaan. Aap mat jaao na."

(Bui why are you leaving us. I promise me and Vir will not upset you. Not even Kiaan. Right Vir. Right Kiaan. Please don't go.)

Both of them nodded cutely.

"Bui mai bhi nhi karunga."

(Bui even i won't.)

Vihaan said when Arohi forgot to take his name. She smiled in between her tears and hugged the five. Placing a kiss on each of theirs heads she moved out holding their hands.

As soon as she stepped out she saw her brothers standing there. She was already on the verge of crying and seeing her brothers give her a soft smile she couldn't hold it anymore.

She launched herself in Devesh's arms who hid her in his chest softly patting her head.

She hugged all of her brothers one by one and then they shared a sibling hug.

They held the kids' hands and moved out of the house. Arjun and Karan were waiting for them. They started their journey to the venue.

Dhriti prayed for everything to go smoothly.
