One year and nine months later

Dhriti had finally and officially taken over the work operations of her mother's brand 'Dhrihash'.

Eleven months back Rashi had given birth to second child and fulfilled Aru's wish of getting a sister. She named her daugher 'Samaira'.

And six months back Pranati gave birth to her daughter who was named 'Nyra'. Both Nyra and Samaira were so much alike. Both had taken their mothers' features.

Right now Dhriti was in her room pacing around the room worriedly. She remembered the incident that happened a month ago.

Arjun had thrown a party to celebrate Dhriti's success and all close relatives were invited.

Everyone congratulated her and gave her their blessings.

After dinner they were casually talking when one of her relative aunties said.

"Arre bhaisahab app toh career bhi settle ho gya. Shaadi waadi krwani hai ya nhi. 25 saal ki hone wali hai na Dhriti."

(Bhaisahab now the career is also settled. When are you getting her married. She is getting 25 right.)

Dhriti's eyes moved to the voice and she made a scowling face which soon turned into a smile hearing her father's words.

"Krwani hai par jaldi kya hai. Jab uska mann hoga tab krwa denge. Aur abhi sirf 25 ki hi toh hui hai."

(I have to but what's the hurry. When she will be ready we would. And she just 25 right now.)

He said coolly making her smile.

But that was not what she was worried about. She was worried about what happened just few minutes back.

She was sitting with her father and brothers in the living room watching tv. Her bhabhis have gone for baby clothes shopping and her mother and taiji were in the kitchen.

Her father suddenly remembering something said.

"Dhriti beta. Tere liye ek rishta aaya hai. Mera dost hai uska beta, Ayush. Tum jaanti ho na usse. Beta no pressure. Aaram se soch na. Aur agar phir bhi na hai toh bejijak keh dena."

(There is an alliance for you. My friend's son, Ayush. You know him. Think calmly. And if then also you don't want to just inform me.)

He said patting her head while Dhriti just sat there wide eyed. NO! This cannot happen. She turned to her father.

"Papa. Wo mujhe-"

(I actually-)

"Dhriti andar jaa. I'll handle."

(Dhriti go inside.)

She was cut-off by Devesh. Dhriti looked at him and nodded assuringly. She quitely went to her room.

And since then she has been worried. She wanted to go out and see what was happening but could not gain the courage to.

After what felt like eternity, all her brothers came in and sat on the bed while she looked at them with questioning eyes.

"Bhaiya?"

He smiled and said.

"Utkarsh ko call krke abhi bataegi ya surprise dena hai?"

(Want to tell Utkarsh right now or want to surprise him?)

"Huh!?"

At first she didn't understand what her brother was saying but her eyes widened as she realised. A smile formed on her lips.

"Sachhi bhaiya?"

(Really bhaiya?)

"Mucchi chhoti."

(Really chhoti.)

Adarsh said to which Dhriti pouted but then jumped on him and hugged him hard.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. Aap log best ho."

(You guys are the best.)

They laughed at her antics and they shared a sibling hug. She asked Devesh not to tell Utkarsh anything and that she wanted to surprise him.

Devesh nodded and said that Arjun would talk to his parents tomorrow and that he would handle.

After they went back to their rooms Dhriti slumped on the bed with a goofy smile on her face and squealed in the pillow. She just couldn't contain her happiness.

Praying to God for everything to go fine she slept with a smile never leaving her face.

The next morning Arjun sat with everyone and dialled Utkarsh's father. After about an hour he finally disconnected the call with a smile on his face.

He informed everyone that his parents'already knew about them and were about to talk to him regarding the same. Also, he has invited everyone for dinner tomorrow.

Dhriti frowned thinking that Utkarsh's parents knew about them. When did he tell? That means her surprise is flop?

She pouted at the last thought.

At night she was laying on her bed when her phone rang. She smiled and picked up the call.

"Hii."

"Hii. Mujhe pta chala hai ki tum kal ghar aa rhi ho."

(I got to know you are coming tomorrow.)

"Ummhmm. Papa ko uncle se kuch kaam tha aur bhai bhabhi ko bhi mile bhut time ho gya tha to uncle ne sab ko invite kr dia."

(Papa had some work with uncle and bhai bhabhi also wanted to meet everyone so uncle invited everyone.)

She couldn't believe how smoothly the lie came out of her mouth. Utkarsh hummed seeming convinced.

"Waise maine na mummy ko bta dia hamare baare mai."

(I told my mother about us.)

"Hain!? Kab?"

(What!? When?)

"Umm parso. Mummy ne bola tha ki papa se baat karengi but abhi tak kri nhi shayad."

(Day before yesterday. Mummy said she would talk to pap but i don't think she has till now.)

She just hummed. A smile never leaving her face.

"Bhabhi ye khulegi toh nhi na? Ek do pins aur laga do."

"Nhi khulegi bhut saari pins lagayi hai maine."

(It won't i have put a lot of pins.)

Dhriti was getting ready. She wanted to wear a saree to impress her would be in laws. Bhavna was helping her in wearing it while Pranati was choosing simple jewellery for her.

After she was done with the saree Rashi did her makeup and Sakshi did her hair.

They were on their way to his house and Dhriti's hands were sweating due to nervousness. Will his parents like her? What if she did something and made a joke out of her?

Pranati noticed this and held her hands.

"Relax. Itna mat ghabrao. Everything will be fine. Mumma papa will love you. Just like Utkarsh does."

(Don't be so nervous.)

She winked at the last statement and laughed when Dhriti's face turned a little red.

They reached his home and Yug welcomed them inside. Dhriti greeted his parents by touching their feet and they smiled and gave her blessings.

Her eyes moved around looking for him. He came out of his room and Dhriti's lips curled into a smile seeing him. He was tying his watch.

He came forward and greeted her parents.

Standing in front of her he looked at her gobsmacked. Moving his eyes all over her body he licked his lips at how beautiful she looked. She bit her lip to hide the smile about to breakout.

His mother asked everyone to settle down on the dining table as the food was being served.

"You look beautiful."

He breathed near her ear and she lowered her head smiling.
