It had been two and half months since Utkarsh had returned to Bangalore. Dhriti was waiting for the three years to be over so that she wouldn't have to wait for months to meet him.

Today was their company's 39th anniversary and every employee and partner of the company were invited with their families.

The dress code was red for girls and black for men. The whole event was being telecasted on the television.

Dhriti was wearing a red evening gown.

Abeer and Tanvi and their families were also invited. Tanvi was coming with Abeer and Dhriti was going with one of her friends.

He was also her father's friend's son. So she knew him well.

All the Singhanias made a grand entry. Utkarsh was watching the event on his tv. He frowned seeing the man besides Dhriti who had held her waist. They were smiling at each other.

He didn't like the way he was looking at Dhriti. The speeches started and one by one each Singhania came forward and gave their vote of thanks. Sakshi being the newest addition to the family was introduced to everyone.

Utkarsh dialled Dhriti. She smiled seeing his call and excused herself. Going to a corner she picked his call.

"Hii."

"Hii."

"Event dekh rhe hai aap? Kaisi lag rhi hu mai?"

(Are you watching the event? How am I looking?)

He chuckled at her excitement.

"Hnn dekh rha hu. And you look super hot and gorgeous. Tumhare saare events tab hi kyu hone hote hai jab mai nhi hota."

(Yes i am. Why are all your events only that time when i am not around.)

"Koi baat nhi Utkarsh. Bas ek saal aur. Phir toh aap yaha aa rhe hai na."

(No problem Utkarsh. Just an year more. Then you will be here.)

She smiled and he too hummed and smiled.

"Waise ye kiske saath aayi ho tum?"

(Who have you come with?)

"Wo Ayush. Papa ke friend ka beta hai aur mera friend bhi hai. Kaafi time se US mai tha isliye aap nhi jaante."

(He is Papa's friend's son and my good friend too. He was in US since long so you don't know him.)

He hummed again but this time it sounded different. She knew he trusted her but was insecure about himself. He was not from a poor family but was also not as rich as the Singhanias were.

"Kya hua?"

(What happened?)

"Kuch nhi. Baad mai baat krte hai. You enjoy."

(Nothing. We will talk later.)

"Nhi. Rukiye. Pehle bataiye mujhe."

(No. Wait. Tell me first.)

He sighed heavily and said.

"Kuch nhi hai. Mai bas aise hi. Tum enjoy kro."

(Nothing. I was just. You enjoy.)

"Aap khud ko auro se compare krna chhod do Utkarsh. I know what you are thinking."

(Stop comparing yourself to others Utkarsh.)

"Kya kru yrr. Darr lagta hai. I can't lose you Dhriti. I can't."

(What should i do. I am scared.)

"You won't. Aapko pta hai jab bhai ne bataya na that you got promoted to the Head of Technical Department, Papa was so happy and proud. Unhe pta hai that you are sincere and hard working and he likes you."

(You know when bhai told that you got promoted... He know that you are...)

He smiled.

"I love you."

"I love you too. Aur jyada maja sochiye. Aur dhyan rakhiye apna."

(Don't think much. And take care.)

She disconnected the call and went near everyone. Ayush, the man she came with raised his eyebrow in question and she shook her head indicating that it was nothing.

The event was a success and everyone enjoyed a lot.

Three months later Pranati delivered a baby boy. There were slight complications in her pregnancy due to which she had to be operated but she and the baby were fine and healthy.

Utkarsh couldn't come due to prior commitments but he had suggested the name 'Vihaan'. Everyone loved the name so the baby was named Vihaan.

Vihaan was one month old and Dhriti along with the bachha party barged into Pranati's room to play with him. Pranati had Vihaan in her lap and was video calling someone.

Dhriti along with the kids settled besides and Dhriti kept her head on Pranati's shoulder and she smiled seeing the person on the other side.

"Hii Utkarsh."

"Hii Dhriti."

They greeted each other as if they did not just talk to each other for an hour. Vihaan made some noises and everyone cooed at him.

Pranati disconnected the call after some time and turned to the kids.

"Chachi Vian ko meli godi mai dedo."

(Chachi give Vihaan in my lap.)

Arohi said smiling cutely.

"Nahi Aru. Abhi tum chhoti ho. Chachi aap Vihaan ko meri godi mai dedo. Aru mere paas baitho. Yaha se khel lena uske saath."

(No Aru. You are small right now. Chachi you give Vihaan to me. Aru come sit with me. Play from here.)

Adi said and Arohi nodded and she and Viraj immediately settled besides him. Pranati smiled and carefully placed Vihaan on Adi's lap. Vihaan gave an excited squeal on seeing his siblings and everyone smiled.

Pranati asked Dhriti to look after the kids and went out to do some works.

Dhriti and the kids played with Vihaan. Vihaan yawned in between and Dhriti took him in her arms.

"Chalo Vihaan ko ninu aa rhi hai. Adi Aru aap dono Vir ko lekar bahar khel lo. Mai isse sula kr aati hu."

(Come on Vihaan is sleepy. Adi Aru take Vir out and play with him. I will come after making him sleep.)

They nodded. Adi held both of their hands and went out.

Dhriti lightly swayed Vihaan and hummed lowly. His eyes slowly drooped and soon he was fast asleep. She carefully placed him on the center of the bed and covered him with a duvet.

She surrounded him with a wall of pillows on his either side and softly kissed his head.

She went out and told Pranati that Vihaan was asleep. Pranati nodded and said that she would see and Dhriti went to her room to do her work.

Both Utkarsh and Dhriti have been keeping busy nowadays. He being the HoD had a lot more responsibilities and work pressure. But both of them knew it was important.

Once he becomes the Chief Officer he would be able to return to Delhi permanently.

Dhriti on the other hand was being promoted from junior level to senior level. The only obstacle was the current show that she had to handle that too single handed.

She was up for the challenge but still was a little nervous. Saroj helped her a lot. She would guide her about how she should select the designs and other stuff as she had a lot of experience in the particular field.

With Saroj's guidance and her team's support she conducted the show and it was hit. Everyone loved the designs and one of the businessmens present there even signed up a deal with them.

Dhriti received lots of appreciation and got her promotion. Arjun was so proud to see his daughter fulfill her dream successfully.
