He let her cry for sometime and then said.

"Look at me. Shh. Mai hu tumhare saath."

(I am with you.)

He wiped her tears and she stopped crying after some time.

"Now. Listen to me. We are going to take a test right now and jo bhi result aaye just remember one thing i am here with you. Jo bhi hoga hum saath hai. Okk."

(Whatever it is we are together.)

"But agar- agar sach me-"

(What if really-)

"Its ok. Agar hua bhi toh i take full responsibility. Mai baat kar lunga hamare ghar walo se and we will get married. Okk?"

(I will talk to everyone and we will get married.)

She nodded still scared. He drove to the nearby chemist and bought her a couple of tests. He gave them to her and then parked the car at the mall near the place.

He held her hand and took her near the restrooms.

"Andar jaao. Aur relax haan jo bhi ho just come straight out. I'll handle. I promise."

(Go in. And relax whatever it is just come straight out.)

She nodded and went inside very slowly. He leaned against the wall and waited for her. After what felt like eternity she came out and launched herself straight in his arms.

He hugged her trying to calm his heartbeat.

"Its negative."

She muttered after some time and he exhaled the breath he was holding for so long. He slumped back on the wall with her still in his arms.

He kissed her head mutliple times and she hugged him tighter.

Two days later she got her period and for the first time she was happy about it.

A week later their results were announced and everyone did very well. And on top of it Dhriti got to know that Tanvi and Abeer were dating.

Amidst all this happiness another news was waiting for her.

Utkarsh called her saying that he wanted to talk to her. She was very happy. She sat in his car and hugged him.

"Kya baat aaj bada chehek rhi hai madam."

(What happened you are glowing today.)

He teased and she beamed.

"Jee. Aaj mujhe kuch udaas nhi kr skta. Mai pass ho gyi. Iss baar toh mujhe laga tha mai pakka fail hu. Par nhi hui."

(Yes. Nothing can upset me today. I passed. I thought i would definitely fail this time. But did not.)

She giggle and he smiled. But his smile fell thinking about what he wanted to tell. He decided to let it go because he didn't want to upset her.

"Aap kuch batane wale the?"

(You wanted to tell something?)

"Umm- nhi kuch important nhi."

(Umm-nothing important.)

"Arre. Toh kya hua? Bataiye na."

(So what? Tell me.)

"Nhi. I don't want to upset you."

He said the last part lowly but she heard it.

She turned him towards her and asked seriously.

"Kya baat hai?"

(What happened?)

"Wo maine IT company mai apply kia tha. Unka reply aaya tha. I got selected. Next month se reporting hai."

(I applied in an IT company. They replied. I have to report from next month.)

"Toh isme udaas hone wali kya baat hai? This is such a good news. I am so happy for you."

(What is there to be upset?)

She hugged him and kissed his cheek.

"Reporting Bangalore mai hai."

(Reporting is in Bangalore.)

Her smile fell.

"Bangalore?"

"Haan. 3 saal waha kaam karna hoga aur phir Delhi posting krenge. Wo permanent hoga."

(Yes. I have to work there for 3 years and then i will get posting in Delhi. It would be permanently.)

"3 saal?"

(3 years.?)

She muttered sadly but then plastered a smile on her face and said.

"Haan toh thik hai na. Inn 3 saalon me mai bhi apna career establish kar lungi aur phir toh aap wapas aa hi rhe hai. Waise jaana kab hai?"

(So its fine. I will also establish my career in these 3 years and then you are coming back. When do you have to leave?)

"Next week."

"Mujhse milne aate rahiyega. Aur waha kisi aur ko pasand mat kr lena."

(Meet me. And don't like someone else there.),

She joked. He just kept looking at her intensely. 'How can she not be angry at him for not telling her this before?'

He cupped her face and leaned in. She closed her eyes and their lips met in a slow kiss. They kissed ever so slowly. As if imprinting each other's touch. He caressed her cheeks and softly entered his tongue in her mouth exploring every corner of it.

She felt a zoo of butterflies erupt in her stomach and her hands went in his hair slowly tugging them. They both moaned and groaned. He felt her smile in between the kiss and he smiled too. They pulled away and joined their foreheads. She knew that he would not meet her the whole week. He had to do his packings and spend time with his family and so he spent the whole day with her.

First they went to the Trampoline Park. They spent a good amount of time there. After that they and their lunch and then they went to see a new Marvel movie that was just released.

And they ended the day with beautiful star gazing date. They were just laying down looking at the stars when Dhriti turned to look at him only to find him gazing at her.

She didn't know why but it made a blush. He gave a soft kiss on her lips.

"Jaane se pehle mil paayenge?"

(Will you be able to meet before leaving?)

"Koshish karunga par kuch pakka nhi keh skta."

(I'll try but could not promise.)

She nodded understanding the situation. She laid her head on his chest and he kissed her forehead. They stayed like that for some time and then Utkarsh dropped Dhriti at her home.

The week passed by quicker than Dhriti had thought. Her internship had also started. Utkarsh and Dhriti did not meet the whole week. He was busy in his packings and she too got busy in her internship.

Today was Utkarsh's flight and he had promised that he would call her before boarding the flight and so she was waiting for his call.

After about half an hour her phone started ringing. It was his video call.

"Hii. Sorry mai mil nhi paaya."

(Sorry i could not meet.)

She shook her head.

"Its ok. I understand. Dhyan rakhna apna. I'll miss you."

(Take care.)

"I'll miss you too."

Dhriti's eyes filled with tears.

"Arre! Ro kyu rhi hai? Aise see off karegi mujhe toh kaise jaaunga mai."

(Why are you crying? If you will see me off like this how will i go.)

"Nhi. Sorry. Have a safe journey."

(No.)

"Hamesha ke liye nhi jaa rha. Aur waise bhi aata rahunga mai milne. I love you wifey."

(I am not going forever. And i would come to meet you.)

She chuckled.

"I love you too hubby."

They talked till he was asked to switch off his phone. Saying a bye to her he switched off his phone.

She was upset for sometime but then consoled herself saying that if was for his future and that he would be back after three years.
