The Singhania mansion as usual was bustling with activities. Vaibhav's wedding dates were finalised a week before and today all off them were going at the Bansals' for the Shagun.
Everyone was getting ready. Saroj and Damini were instructing the servants to arrange everything in the cars.
"Maa. Taiji. Aap log jaakar ready hoiye. Ye mai krwati hu. Mai waise bhi ready hu."
(Maa. Taiji. You go and get ready. I will do this. I am ready anyways.)
Bhavna said to both of them and the left to their rooms to get ready. She was telling the servant what to do when Adarsh came out grumbling.
"Kya hua? Aise budbuda kyu rha hai?"
(What happened? Why are you grumbling?)
"Koi mujhse pyaar hi nhi krta bhabhi. Sab matlabi hai."
(No one loves me bhabhi. Everyone is meany.)
He said dramatically and Bhavna shook her head at him.
"Ab kya hua?"
(Now what happened?)
"Aapke miya se maine unki favourite shirt kya maang li mujhe room se bahar kr dia. Aaj unhe wahi shirt pehanni thi."
(I just asked for his favourite shirt from your husband and he threw me out of the room. He had to wear that shirt today.)
He said making a face.
"Bhai se unki watch maangi toh unhe bhaga dia."
(Asked bhai for his watch so he threw me out.)
He said as if remembering how he was thrown out.
"Sahil. Uss gadhe ki toh baat hi mat kro. Asli rang to usne dikhaya hai. Ek cologne maangi thi usse. Ki mujhe bhi lagane de. Mujhe aise ignore kiya jaise khaane mai mushroom ko krta hai."
(Sahil. Don't talk about that idiot. He has shown me his true colours. I just asked for his cologne. That i want to use. He ignored me like he ignores mushroom in his food.)
He said making a horrific face.
"Isliye dekhiye na mujhe ye pehnna pada."
(See that's why i had to wear this.)
"Hmmm. Koi baat nhi isme bhi thik hi lag rhe ho. Waise usme kaunse bade achhe lagte."
(Hmm. No problem this also looks fine. Not like that would have lookedd very good.)
She said teasing him and laughed at his disbelieving expression.
"Bhabhi. Aap bhi?"
(Bhabhi. You too?)
He said in a strained voice as if it was hurting him. She shook her head and smacked his arm lightly and left from there muttering 'Dramaqueen'.
Just then Adi came there and Adarsh picked him up and hugged him close as if consoling him.
"Koi baat nhi Adi. Iss ghar mai humse koi pyaar nhi krta. Par hum kaafi hai ek dusre ke liye."
(No problem Adi. No one loves us in this house. But we are enough for each other.)
(You chachu. No one loves you. Everyone loves me.)
Adi said and jumped out from his hold and ran away laughing. Adarsh looked at him in disbelief. Turning his face to the other side dramatically he went outside to see whether everything was placed correctly or not.
This is Adarsh Singhania for you. A very cheerful, happy-to-go person. And the Dramaqueen of Singhania mansion. There was not a day when he had not shown his dramatic talent.
But everyone loved him a lot. He was the life of Singhania mansion. Their day was incomplete without his drama. You can trust him to turn a sad or tense situation into a happy and pleasant one.
There were very rare occasions when he would be dead serious or angry. And if you witness him like that, then RUN. Cause an angry Adarsh is a very, and i mean a very dangerous Adarsh.
He loves his family to death. If he could die for his parents then he could even kill for his siblings. He may tease the daylights out of them but everyone knew that he loved them the most.
One more thing. But that's a secret. Don't tell anyone that he had sweared to spoil his siblings children rotten.
Everyone always used to tell him that the girl who would marry him would be either blind or mad to even consider him. But they knew that she would also be the luckiest girl to get his attention and love.
Because when Adarsh loves, he loves with everything in him. He would do anything to bring a smile on faces of people he loves.
One time when Adi was crying a lot and Bhavna was not a home and nobody could pacify him, Adarsh performed a belly dance in front of him. Wearing one of Dhriti's crop tops for a whole hour. Which in return earned him a lot of punches from Dhriti for ruining her top and huge laughters from the rest of the family.
But did he regret. Not even an ounce. Why? Because that made Adi laugh like crazy. The memory sure was embarrassing for him but he smiled whenever he remembered Adi laughing freely at his dance.
Right now they were on their way to Rashi's house. Vaibhav was driving and Sahil was sitting on the passenger seat. Adarsh, Dhriti and Saroj were sitting on the backseat. Adarsh noticed that Sahil was smiling, lost in his thoughts.
"Tu bada chekah rha hai. Bandi wandi se milna jaa rha ho jaise. Kya baat hai?"
(You are very happy. Going to meet your girlfriend or something. What happened?)
He said teasingly. This gained Saroj's attention. Sahil quickly shook his head and smacked Adarsh.
"Bakwaas band kar apni. Mai bas khush hu bhai ke liye."
(Stop your nonsense. I am happy for bhai.)
Adarsh smirked as if realising something.
"Pranati aa rhi hai kya?"
(Is Pranati coming there?)
He asked wiggling his eyebrows. Sahil shifted uncomfortably on his seat. His mother's attention was now solely on him.
"Mujhe kya pta? Tu ussi se puchh le na mera dimaag kyu khaa rha hai?"
(How would i know? Ask her why are disturbing me?)
"Tu usse pasand krta hai? Aur wo? Tune baat ki usse iss baare mai? Kya kaha usn-"
(You like her? And she? You told her? What did she say?)
Saroj asked excited at the idea of getting another daughter. She had always liked Pranati.
"Maa! Please. Aisa kuch nhi hai. Hum dost hai sirf."
(Maa please. Its nothing like that. We are just friends.)
But Saroj was now deep in her thoughts about him and Pranati. She was getting them married in her thoughts.
Adarsh sat back satisfied. If Sahil didn't want to accept his feelings for her then he would have to jump in between. He too wanted her as his bhabhi.
They reached the Bansals' house and rang the bell. A maid opened the door and welcomed them inside. Adarsh saw Rashi, her parents, Pranati, a young boy and a girl of around his age standing for their welcome.
Everyone greeted each other. He too greeted Rashi and her parents. He noticed the girl who was standing at a side after greeting everyone, looking at everything with a smile on her face.
