The morning air in the mansion felt charged, as if the very walls knew that the game was changing. Shambhavi was sitting at the breakfast table, sunlight dancing in her hair, when Rudrang walked in.

He didn't sit across from her. He walked behind her, his hands resting heavily on her shoulders.

"Shambhavi."

He whispered, his voice vibrating through her skin.

"Kal raat maine tumhari aankhon mein ek sawaal dekha tha. Tumhe bura lagta hai na? Ki tumhe humari shaadi yaad nahi?"

(I saw a question in your eyes yesterday. You feel bad? That you don’t remember our marriage?)

Shambhavi looked down at her hands, her voice small.

"Bas... aisa lagta hai jaise meri zindagi ka sabse bada din mujhse chheen liya gaya ho."

(Just…I feel like the biggest day of my life is snatched from me.)

Rudrang turned her chair around and knelt before her, his expression filled with devotion.

"Toh phir chalo. Aaj hi. Hum phir se shaadi karenge. Ek nayi shuruat. Aaj se tumhare paas sirf wahi yaadein hongi jo hum saath banayenge. Will you marry me again?"

(Then come on. Today. We will marry again. A new beginning. From today you will have the memories we create together.)

Tears blurred Shambhavi's vision. She couldn't believe her luck. This man, who had everything, was willing to do this just for her peace of mind.

"Haan, Rudrang. Haan!"

(Yes, Rudrang. Yes!)

The marriage registration was a swift, private affair. Rudrang had ensured the registrar was available at a moment's notice.

As Shambhavi signed the papers with a trembling hand, she felt a weight lift off her chest. She was officially, legally, and in her own memory, Shambhavi Rudrang Oberoi.

Rudrang watched her sign, a dark, victorious smirk playing on his lips that she didn't see. As he penned his own signature, his mind flickered to Anirudh. Ab tum chahe jo bhi kar lo, Anirudh... woh meri hai. Kaagaz par bhi, aur haqiqat mein bhi.

(You can do whatever you want now Anirudh…she is mine, on papers and in reality.)

The celebratory dinner that night was held at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the  city. The atmosphere was thick with romance, candles flickering, soft violin music, and the finest wine.

Shambhavi looked ethereal in her emerald gown, her skin glowing under the moonlight. Rudrang hardly ate, he spent the entire night watching her, his gaze heavy and possessive.

When they finally returned to the mansion, the silence of the house felt different.

They reached their bedroom, the air thick with an unspoken tension that had been building for an entire month. Rudrang didn't turn on the main lights, leaving the room bathed in the soft, amber glow of the bedside lamps.

He moved to the center of the room and began to undress with a slow deliberation. He watched Shambhavi through the mirror as he unbuttoned his shirt, casting it aside to reveal the sculpted, powerful lines of his torso.

The sight of him, strong and tanned made Shambhavi's breath hitch.

Then, his hands went to his waist. The metallic click of his belt being unbuckled echoed in the quiet room like a gunshot. He pulled the leather strap slow through the loops, his eyes never leaving hers.

Shambhavi's heart was hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird. The month of touches, the shirtless mornings, the lingering kisses, it all crashed down on her at once. She didn't want to wait anymore. She wanted to belong to him.

"Rudrang..."

She gasped, her voice thick with desire she couldn't hide. He paused, his hands still on his trousers.

"Kya hua, Shambhavi? Why are you shivering?"

(What happened, Shambhavi?)

She walked toward him, her legs feeling like jelly. She stopped just inches away, the heat radiating from his body making her dizzy. She reached out, her small hands resting against the hard, hot skin of his chest.

"Aaj humari wedding night hai."

(It’s our wedding night.)

She whispered, looking up at him with wide, hooded eyes.

"Asli wali. Jo mujhe yaad rahegi. Rudrang... make me yours. Make love to me."

(Real one. The one I will remember.)

Rudrang froze. He hadn't expected her to be the one to break. He had planned to take his time, to slowly bend her to his will, but seeing her like this, vulnerable, panting, and looking at him as if he were her entire world, his own control snapped.

He was a man of dark impulses, and the woman he had stolen was finally offering herself to him.

"Tumhe pata hai tum kya maang rahi ho?"

(You know what you’re asking?)

He growled, his voice dropping an octave, becoming something primal.

"If I touch you now, I'm not going to stop. There will be no saving."

"I don't want to be saved."

She replied, her fingers curling into the skin of his chest. Rudrang let out a low, guttural sound and swept her into his arms. He crushed his lips against hers in a kiss that tasted of hunger and victory.

It wasn't a gentle kiss, it was the kiss of a man claiming his prize. He laid her back on the silk sheets, his heavy body hovering over hers. His hands, usually so careful, were now frantic, exploring the curves of her body through the emerald silk.

"Shambhavi...you're mine."

He muttered against her neck, his teeth grazing her skin, sending jolts of electricity through her.

"Only mine. Yaad rakhna yeh."

(Remember this.)

"I'm yours, Rudrang. Hamesha."

She moaned, arching her back as his hands found the zipper of her dress. The silk slid away, leaving her exposed to his burning gaze. Rudrang took a moment to look at her, his eyes dark with a mix of lust and a terrifying kind of worship.

He was no saint, and he knew he was built on lies, but in this moment, the heat between them was the only truth that mattered. He shed the rest of his clothes, his naked form towering over her like a dark god.

When he finally joined her on the bed, the friction of skin against skin was explosive. He kissed her everywhere, her shoulders, the curve of her waist, the sensitive skin of her thighs, until she was sobbing his name, her hands tangled in his dark hair.

"Rudrang... please..."

He silenced her with another kiss, his tongue tangling with hers as he moved between her legs. He was rough yet rhythmic, his every move designed to drown her in sensation.

Shambhavi felt like she was dissolving, the boundaries of her identity blurring until there was only Rudrang, his scent, his weight, his fire.

In the height of their passion, Rudrang looked down at her, seeing the way she clung to him as her only anchor in a world of darkness.

A sense of absolute triumph washed over him. He had won. He had her heart, her body, and now, her soul.

When the moment finally passed, they lay tangled together, their breathing synchronized in the quiet. Shambhavi lay her head on his chest, listening to the thudding of his heart, feeling a deep, profound sense of peace.

"I love you, Rudrang."

She whispered, her voice drifting off into sleep. Rudrang didn't say it back. He just tightened his grip on her, staring at the ceiling with eyes that were wide awake and cold as ice.

He had her now. And as long as that door remained locked and Anirudh remained a ghost, he would keep her in this beautiful, blissful lie forever. A lie that was slowly becoming his truth.
