He had just pushed an inch inside when he stopped realising something.

“I don’t have a condom with me. Wasn’t really planning on this actually happening tonight.”

She smiled at first but then commented bitterly as she remembered something.

“It’s ok. It’s not like I will get pregnant or something.”

He pulled back and cupped her face.

“Hey! I didn’t mean that.”

“I know you did not. I just…I don’t know why I said that.”

She confessed in a small voice. He knew how much she longed for a baby of her own. And he wished he could do something about it.

She frowned and stopped him when he started to get off her.

“Where are you going?”

“You’re getting emotional. I don’t want to take advantage of your vulnerable self. We can do this any other time.”

She pulled him back making him almost lose his balance but he managed to steady himself.

“Don’t you dare leave me like this…all hot and bothered. Finish what you’ve started, Mr. Rathore. Give me the wedding night that I deserve.”

“There she is!”

He whispered with adoration seeing her usual self back. He didn’t like when she talked about herself in a low light.

He slowly eased himself inside her. She let out a small yelp and paused him when he settled inside completely. He frowned and pushed her hair back from her face before cupping her cheek and asking her what happened.

“It’s just…been a long time and…you’re…too big and…thick.”

She completed with a breathy moan and he smirked in arrogance.

“What a way to say that the cheating bastard had a small dick.”

She laughed and hit his back but scratched it when he unexpectedly thrust, hitting her G-spot.

“Want me to stop?”

“No! Just go slow.”

He kissed her and they made love until the wee hours of the morning, giggling and talking after each round until their bodies felt utterly exhausted and sated.

Three months went by very smoothly. Anyone who knew Saanvi could see the difference between the pre-Arjun and the post-Arjun Saanvi. The woman was positively glowing. And anyone who saw Arjun could say that the man was head over heels in love with his woman.

It was the 2nd Quarterly Meet and Arjun as usual was there as a guest. Saanvi had left in the morning to prepare and would meet Arjun at the venue itself.

Saanvi was near the staircase when she saw Arjun at the entrance of the venue. He had his arms in front of him and was wiggling his fingers towards her motioning to her come to him. She giggled and intertwined her fingers with his wiggling ones.

He kissed her head and sighed in relief seeing her before his eyes. Then, he pushed her a little back and looked at her from head to toe. He gave her an eyebrow raise in appreciation and bent low to whisper in her ear.

“You look breathtaking, sweetheart! Can’t wait to take that saree off you later tonight.”

She giggled and hit his bicep lightly before ushering him inside.

Arjun came back from work and called for Saanvi.

“Saanvi? Jaan kaha ho?”

(Love, where are you?)

He called again. A little worried this time because she was always there waiting for him to launch herself in his arms as soon as he came back home. He needed her daily dose.

He entered their room and saw her sitting on the bed. Sobbing. Every muscle of his went into panic seeing her tears.

“Saanvi?”

His voice was urgent and he walked towards her in alarm. He sat before her and cupped her face but she threw her arms around him and cried harder. He held her tightly and securely and rubbed her back.

His heart was beating wildly. All kinds of negative thoughts evaded his mind as he rocked her slowly.

“Jaana bataogi nhi hua kya hai? Kyu ro rhi ho aise? Kisi ne kuch kaha kya? Mujhe batao! Mai dekh lunga sab ko.”

(Will you not tell me what has happened? Why are you crying like this? Did someone say something. Tell me! I will handle everyone.)

She sniffed and whispered the reason for her tears making him freeze. For a full minute, he sat still. Not moving. Not speaking. Just staring ahead and processing her words.

“Arjun? Aapne suna maine kya kaha?”

(Did you listen to what I said?)

She asked in confirmation and he looked at her. His own eyes now shining with unshed tears.

“Ek…ek baar phir se kaho.”

(Tell…tell me once more.)

He whispered and she sniffed.

“I’m pregnant.”

He released a wavered sigh and let his tears fall. He pulled her into a tight hug again and peppered her with kisses.

She knew he wanted to say a lot. But she also knew that he couldn’t. She understood. His eyes and the happiness in them were enough to express everything he couldn’t word out.

“You’re happy?”

He asked and she nodded so hard, for a moment he was afraid her head would fall off.

“I am! I am so happy Arjun! A baby! Our baby. A part of us. You and me.”

She kissed him and he deepened the kiss. Their tears mixed with each other. They spent the night discussing about their baby and what they would do once he or she arrives.

Saanvi was entering her second trimester. Arjun had started working from home most days. He wanted to spend as much time enjoying her pregnancy as he could.

Arjun was sitting shirtless with his back resting against the headpost of the bed. Saanvi had her back against his chest and one of her hands casually resting upon her little baby bump. She was starting to show and had the cutest little bump right now.

Arjun was moving his hand against her thigh as he read her the Bhagwat Geeta. She had her eyes closed in peace and a small smile playing on her lips.

He closed the Geeta and put it aside carefully before taking Saanvi into his arms properly and kissing her head.

“I have some news.”

He said and she hummed asking him to go on.

“That cheater bastard is getting divorced.”

Saanvi turned to look at him in surprise. Tanmay was getting divorced? But why?

“He just got married. Abhi toh beta bhi chhota hai tha uska. Why is he getting divorced?”

(His son was also small.)

She asked and Arjun smirked as if he knew something she didn’t.
