Dev stepped on stage. He had a tall and lean frame. His skin was warm-toned and he carried a stubble. His hair was thick and slightly tousled, like he ran his hands through it. He was dressed simply, dark shirt, rolled sleeves and pants.
“Dev and Tara…how did the two of you realize you’re the ones for each other?”
Tara took the mic and answered first.
“Dev has given me something I’ve never had, emotional steadiness. He didn’t swipe me off my feet, he just…stayed. He listened. And he showed up when it mattered. His love isn’t loud, but it’s loyal. He taught me that love isn’t just about magic, it’s about showing up, even what it’s hard. And for me, that’s kind of forever I’ve been searching for.”
She held his hand making him smile. He took the mic and took a deep breath before speaking.
“Tara! Like her name, she has brought light in my guarded world. Her warmth, her belief, her emotional openness, slowly chipped away at the walls that I built after my heart break. She reminded me what it felt like to be chosen, not just tolerated. She taught me that vulnerability isn’t weakness.”
Dev’s smile was full of love for her and she didn’t hesitate before planting a kiss on his cheek. The question answer session continued and for the next half an hour, the two discussed how SouLink helped them navigate their journey.
Aahan was nervous yet excited. The results were amazing. More and more people were showing interest in SouLink. There were some who commented on all of it being staged and scripted. But Aahan forced himself to look at the positive angle.
“It’s time to call the third wearer on stage. Let’s welcome. Raghav Bajaj!”
Raghav stepped on the stage and gave the audience a smile before taking his place.
“Raghav had a bad breakup before he started the test with us. He claimed to not believe in the existence of true love anymore but was willing to give himself another chance. And here we are! Proving that true love does exist. It just takes time to come around.”
Kriyansh started and then turned to Raghav who nodded in confirmation. Kriyansh then turned back to the audience and said.
“Let’s call upon stage his true love, Aanya Desai!”
Aanya stepped on stage as a woman of small stature. She had tan skin and expressive eyes. Her hair was shoulder length and tied back with a claw clip. She wasn’t wearing much makeup, just a hint of kajal and lip balm.
She was dressed in a simple short kurti and jeans.
“We would like to hear it from you, Raghav. How did you know she is the one?”
Raghav looked at her with a soft yet mischievous look and said.
“She didn’t try to fix me, didn’t ask me to move on. She simply stayed. Her empathy wasn’t loud, it was felt in the way she listened, in the way she didn’t flinch when I shared something raw. She didn’t ask me to be whole. She simply reminded me that even in pieces, I’m still worthy of love.”
The audience awed and related to them a lot. The live was going amazing. Aahan was receiving congratulatory messages from his family and friends.
“We’re very close to the end. With just two wearers left. So let’s not wait anymore and call our next wearer, Meher Malhotra!”
Meher stepped on the stage and joined her hands in a namaste and bowed her head to the crowd with a big smile on her face. Her face glowed and she quietly took her place.
“Honestly, we were very skeptical when she took Meher as one of the wearers. She is married and it could have led to a big scandal. But kehte hai na…jo hota hai achhe ke liye hota hai. Meher felt that she was losing emotional connection with her husband. And SouLink helped her navigate her feelings. Let’s call her emotional connection, Arjun Malhotra!”
(But as it is said…whatever happens, happens for the best.)
Arjun was a man of medium build and wheatish skin. He had a light beard and his hair was short and neat. His eyes were dark and thoughtful, but rarely expressive. He wore a simple collared shirt, and comfortable trousers.
“Meher…everyone is really curious to know how you guys reconnected.”
Meher smiled and started speaking.
“I realised that Arjun doesn’t always know how to express love, but he never stopped feeling it. His silence is indifference, it's a habit. I once felt seen in his quiet care but slowly I started feeling distance from it. But the truth was that our emotional rhythm was never broken. It was just buried under routine. Our reconnection was slow. I began speaking more openly and he began listening. He started making tea the way I liked.”
Everyone laughed and Arjun too chuckled. His gaze was soft when it landed on her and he kissed her knuckles. Meher continued.
“I began to leave him notes like I used to. Things didn’t fix overnight. But we began to feel like a team again. Not because we solved our problems, but because we remembered why we chose each other in the first place.”
Meher and Arjun’s story was the most intriguing one for the audience.
“And now now now! It is time for the final wearer. Any guesses who this one is paired with?”
The audience yelled their guesses and one name echoed louder than the rest because most people guessed the same.
Aahan winked at her and Anvi blushed, nudging his side softly.
“Chaliye! Aapko aur intezaar nhi krwate. Let’s call upon the stage, our last wearer, Anvi Mehta!”
(Ok! Let’s not make you wait too much.)
Anvi stepped on the stage and smiled at the audience before walking to her place.
“And now…before all of you lose your voices because of shouting your guesses, let’s call him on stage. Guys! Let us all welcome AAHAN KAPOOR!”
The screams and yells were maddening. Aahan stepped on the stage and the crowd burst into hoots and yayysss as he placed a soft kiss to Anvi’s head.
“Anvi! All of us are really excited to know how you realised that the founder of SouLink is the one that the very device chose for you?”
“I wanted to understand love not through theory, but through experience. And Aahan didn’t offer me answers. He offered me moments, small, unspoken, emotionally charged moments that made me feel something I couldn’t yet name. He didn’t overwhelm me with declarations. Instead, he let me feel without pressure. With him, I’ve learned that love isn’t always loud.”
“And how did you realise that she was the one Aahan?”
Kriyansh asked and Ahaan smiled at her.
“I knew it from day one. My device told me. But I kept quiet. And I slowly realised why SouLink chose her for me. She softens my edges. I’m used to control, to knowing more than I reveal. But with her, I find myself wanting to be known. She doesn’t challenge my restraint, she gently questions it. With her, I learned that love doesn’t have to be hidden.”
The show was a success. All of them along with the wearers and their partners were at the success party.
“I’m so happy, Aahan. You did it. This success…you deserved it.”
Anvi whispered softly as they slow-danced to the tunes. He kissed her head, letting his lips linger there and pulled her closer while her hold on his tightened.
“This success came much later. Meri success toh tumhare saath pehle hi mujhe mil chuki thi.”
(I got my success much earlier with you.)
She smiled and pecked his lips briefly. He smiled and rested his forehead against hers.
“I know this might not be the way you want it to happen. But I want to say it.”
He started and Anvi looked at him with a frown.
“I love you Anvi. I love you so so much.”
She smiled and nuzzled her nose against his.
“I love you too.”
“Marry me, Anvi.”
She paused and looked at him wide eyed.
“W-what?”
“Marry me. I want to spend every moment of my life with you now. Ek pal bhi ab tumhare bina nhi guzaarna chahta mai.”
(I don’t want to spend even a moment without you now.)
She hugged him and smiled through her tears.
“Okay. I'll marry you. But ghar pr rishta aap bhijwaoge. Mai baat nhi krungi papa se.”
(You will send the alliance at home. I will not talk to papa.)
He chuckled and nodded. She smiled and giggled when he twirled her around in happiness.
They didn’t rush towards forever. They walked into it, one quiet step at a time.
