By Day 2 the people were shortlisted from 500 to a 100. Which in itself was a tedious task. But they had people from all kinds of age groups, relationship types and personality.

These 100 people were divided into groups of 35, 35 and 30 for the next three days. They were going to be interviewed one on one by Kriyansh himself. Kriyansh had a list of questions prepared based on the person’s age, relationship type and personality.

He was going to score them ranging from 1 to 5. Where 1 represented not suitable. 2 represented Limited. 3 was Moderate. 4 being Strong and 5 as Exceptional.

Day by day their audience was growing more impatient. Aahan was even contacted by the Podcast companies for interviews before the beginning of the test.

Day 5 was the reveal. After a thorough review process, they finally had their people.

Aarav: The Skeptical one.

He didn’t believe in love but was curious to explore. In his early 30s, his only passion was his work. He had a weird disinterested aura around him. He wanted to prove SouLink wrong and establish the fact that love and forever was not for everyone.

Tara: The Romantic one

She had always believed in soulmates. Even in the era of heartbreaks and cheating partners, her resolve and trust in true love didn’t waver. And now she was on a mission to find her true one.

Raghav: The Broken one

He had recently had a bad breakup and was recovering from a heartbreak. Although he didn’t believe in the existence of true love anymore but was willing to give himself another chance.

Anvi: The Explorer

She had never been in love but wants to understand it. She wants to explore the feeling that she has heard people describe one feels when in love.

Meher: The Settled one

She was married but was losing emotional connection with her husband. She wanted to reconnect to someone emotionally. Look for the attraction and love they had for each other in the beginning of their marriage.

Aahan was really excited. His podcast interview had aired and earned an overwhelming response. Their reveal video was viral.

A neutral team was made. It included 5 videographers who were going to accompany the 5 people all the time. At the end of each day, the results of the SouLink would be reviewed by a team of data experts who would display the results at the end of each phase but not disclose the potential match to anyone.

Not even Aahan and his team would know the results to keep it more authentic and influence free.

The test would be conducted in the following phases:

Phase 1: Spark Detection

In this phase SouLink would detect and notify the wearer when someone nearby exhibits emotional resonance towards them. The pendant would passively scan for people wearing any kind of device which has access to AI within a 2-3 meter radius of them.

Once the device having access to AI is detected nearby, SouLink starts analysing the person based on various factors such as eye contact duration, smile authenticity, blush response or pupil dilation, voice tone and facial warmth.

After accessing all these factors, it generates a score reflecting the interest of the person. A score of 60-74 indicates mild interest or curiosity. 75-89 reflects strong emotional alignment and a rare score of 90+ would mean high-affinity spark, something very rare and intense.

The device is automatically set at a threshold of 75 and above on reaching which it would emit a soft heartbeat like pulse to let the wearer know that someone nearby feels an attraction towards them. It also glows faintly which is optional but would let the viewers also know when the pendant pulses.

If the attraction is one way, the pendant glows softly indicating a One-Way Spark. If the connection is mutual, the pulse is stronger and more visible.

Once a good score involving mutual interest is obtained in the first phase. The device will enter into the second phase.

Phase 2: Compatibility Mapping

In this phase the pendant analyses whether the spark can evolve into something meaningful, stable and emotionally intelligent.

Once a score above 75 is obtained the device enters the Pair Mode. The device then prepares an emotional sync index indicating the fluctuation of emotional states of the paired people towards each other.

Each day the device generates a score ranging from 0-100 indicating the emotional availability and compatibility score of the paired.

When the Pair Mode is sustained for a period of 21 days with a score of more than 80, the device enters into the third phase.

Phase 3: Growth Mode

In the growth mode, the device nudges the wearer to strengthen the bond by asking deeper questions. The nudges are also indications of the wearer to do or not do something they might regret doing or not doing later.

The 5 of them would remain with the team for three months to nurture Phase 3. At the end of the test, the results will be declared and the accuracy of the device will be put to actual test.

The team was divided. Kriyansh with Aarav, Parth with Raghav, Priyanshi with Tara, Shruti with Meher and Aahan with Anvi. They had videographers following them all day.

They decided on keeping five days a week scheduled for the test leaving the weekends for personal activities. The data would be analysed for each day by the neutral expert team.

The schedule for each week was planned in advance. How the day would be spent. They would spend most of the day out in the open to trigger responses

The test was starting. Cameras were being prepared, mics were being set. Aahan was with the wearer he was accompanying. Anvi, the Explorer.

She adjusted her pendant and smiled at him. He smiled back and she felt a soft pulse. She looked at her phone which was paired with the pendant and saw the message.

Device paired

She showed it to Aahan who showed her a thumbs up.

“Are you ready?”

She nodded and they started with the day. The camera rolled and Aahan took his place.
