“Umm…we can manage for the night. And you don't have to stay in the lounge or something. You have paid for the room too. Let's go to the room and discuss the rest.”
She said and he smiled nodding his head. They informed the reception boy and he said he'd make a refund of the amount she paid the moment she checks out.
Aadarsh helped Bhavya carry her bag till the room.
“Thank you.”
She said as they entered the room and he waved his hand in a gesture of ‘No need’.
“You want to take a shower? The bathroom’s clean. Tab tak I'll clean this mess.”
He said rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly as he pointed towards the mess of clothes he made on the bed.
“I'll just freshen up.”
Bhavya said and went to the washroom. Aadarsh worked at 2X speed and cleared all his stuff lying around. Bhavya didn't shower but washed her face and brushed her teeth.
She sighed and looked at her in the mirror. Why was she blushing? He wasn't her boyfriend! She should be embarrassed and uncomfortable but instead she was blushing like a shy girlfriend or wife.
She came out wearing her night suit which thankfully was decent. He had cleared the bed and was sitting on the couch.
“Umm…I can take the couch. I don't think you'll be able to fit there.”
She said and he shook his head.
“Nah! That's fine! Ek raat ki hi baat hai. And you can stay here. I'll look for another room tomorrow.”
“No! I'm already troubling you by making you sleep on the couch. And besides mujhe koi problem nhi hai. Yaha se refund aa jaayega and moreover, my entire trip is sponsored. I'll get every penny spent back.”
Aadarsh raised his eyebrow and she smiled.
“May I know your name?”
It was when he asked her this that she realised that she didn't even know his name yet.
“Bhavya.”
“I'm Aadarsh. You say your trip is sponsored? How? You work for a travel agency?”
He asked and she nodded.
“I'm there review writer and basically now responsible for helping make the packages.”
“Wow! That's so cool. Indian agency?”
She nodded and asked about what he does.
“My work is not very different from you. I'm a photographer. The magazine I work for, is a very popular one in North America. I roam around the world, exploring countries and cities, their people, their culture, their lifestyle, clicking pictures of everything. And based on these pictures and my descriptions, the magazine releases an issue each week wherein they talk about a different place. I get the travel expenses and hotel expenses but the rest is on me.”
“That's so different. I've never heard of this before but it sounds so fun.”
“It is. So we basically do similar works. Roam around the world and get paid for it. Fun work, right?”
She nodded and giggled and that's how they got comfortable. They talked for about an hour before sleep consumed them.
The next morning, Aadarsh woke up to an empty room. He sat up and straightened his back. He could hear the shower running and looked at the time.
It was 7am. He took out the clothes he had to wear and waited for her to come out.
He didn't have to wait much because she came out in the next 5 minutes. Her hair were wet and she was rubbing them softly with a towel.
“Hey! Good morning.”
She said when she spotted him awake. He smiled and returned her greeting.
“Why are you up so early?”
He asked.
“I have to look for another hotel for tonight. Plus I don't want to be late for what I have planned for today.”
She said distractedly while stuffing her things into the bag.
“Well, I think that's it then. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable or something.”
Aadarsh said and Bhavya looked at him.
“Not at all! In fact I am thankful ki aapne mujhe yaha rukne dia. It was very nice meeting you.”
Aadarsh looked at her. Weirdly, he didn't want to look away.
“Agar kismat ne chaha, toh phirse zarur milenge.”
He spoke and she smiled while looking into his eyes. His eyes held something, something she wanted to never look away from.
“Zarur milenge!”
She affirmed and then took her leave. He dropped her till the reception, stood by until her refund was initiated, helped her get a cab and didn't go inside until her cab was out of sight.
The moment her cab disappeared from sight, he released a discontented sigh. Was it possible to miss someone you just met?
Aadarsh went back to his room and entered the bathroom to take a shower. He took in the frangrance she left behind. She didn't use the hotel shampoos and soaps but her own.
And it was addicting. The pillows and the sheets smelled like him. But all of it would be gone by the night because the room cleaning would take it away.
He again released a sigh and started getting ready for the day.
Aadarsh was at the Pamukkale Natural Park. He shed off the shirt he was wearing and got in the hot springs.
He closed his eyes in bliss. The next when he opened his eyes, they widened as his gaze fell on a figure.
Wow! He was missing her since she left and they meet again in just 4 hours. Destiny might actually be with them.
Now, Aadarsh sat contemplating whether he should approach her or not. She looked hot in the crop top and shorts.
He got out of the hot spring and went towards his bag. He fetched out his camera and angled it such that he was clicking the place’s picture while also taking her in view.
He then walked towards her.
“Bhavya! Hey!”
She turned hearing her name and smiled wide seeing him standing there. She too got out of the spring and stood before him.
