Bhavya grinned excitedly looking at the flight in front of her. Her first sponsored international trip and first international trip in general.
She didn't come from a very wealthy family originally. Finances were a tough task to manage. Sometimes even the fees of her school and college were difficult to manage.
And she was a single child of her parents. She had seen her parents worry because of her education finances all her childhood and she didn't want them to be worried for her marriage and further life ahead.
So she knew she had to become independent and do something to ease their worries.
Bhavya had always been good with words and essays. And she wanted to make a career in writing. But she wasn't imaginative or creative. She loved visiting new places and that's when one of her father's friends recommended this job for her.
Bhavya wrote articles for a travel website. She gave detailed reviews of the places she was asked to visit. Her entire trip amount would be refunded, except obviously the shopping part.
Her manager liked her work because of her excellent writing skills and the way she described the place with every age group's point of view.
At the age of 26, she had travelled almost all of India and this was her first international trip. She was planning on taking her parents along on the next one. They've never been abroad and she wanted them to experience it for the first time with her.
She was too excited while waiting in line to get their tickets and boarding passes checked. She was flying to Turkey. Her turn came and she smiled wide to the flight attendant who smiled back warmly.
She was instructed about her seat directions and she started searching for it. She kept her luggage in the compartment safely and sat on her seat.
Hers was in the middle of the three seats. She called her mother to inform her about boarding the plane and that her phone will be unavailable for the next few hours.
She then looked out of the window leaning towards the window seat a little when she heard a voice.
“Excuse me? That's my seat.”
She looked up to see a man, almost her age standing with a backpack hung over his shoulder. He had a charming smile on his face and Bhavya mentally danced.
Her flight just got interesting. Such a hottie besides her. Throughout the flight. Such a treat.
She mumbled sorry and made space for him. He took a seat and she was immediately engulfed with his masculine fragrance. Bhabya discreetly sniffed and sighed happily. He smelled nice.
She gave him a warm smile which he returned. The other passenger who was to sit on her other side joined them too.
Maybe the flight wouldn't be that good afterall. Because the other man was a pervert. He kept bumping his leg into Bhavya’s intentionally. His arm kept touching her now and then.
Bhavya even told him off once but he was actually very shameless.
“I'm sorry mam. I'm actually quiet huge. I need my space.”
Bhavya looked away not liking the way he was casually throwing dirty references. She shrunk in her own seat and mentally contemplated asking the staff for a seat change. But she didn't want to cause a scene and spoil her first foreign trip.
“Hey?”
She heard a quiet whisper from the handsome man. Bhavya looked at her and he smiled.
“Do you mind if we exchange our seats? I'm not very good with window seats.”
He whispered sheepishly and she nodded readily. They exchanged their seats and Bhavya sighed in relief getting away from the pervert.
The man now seeing Bhavya gone pulled his legs back to himself.
“Arre nhi nhi! It's fine. You can take your space.”
The handsome man said, making the pervert smile awkwardly and Bhavya smiled.
“Thank you.”
She whispered to the man who shook his head as if it was nothing.
“Par har baar koi achha sanskari ladka nhi milega aise bachane ke liye. You can always complain to the flight attendants if such a thing happens again.”
He started with a mischievous smile and she nodded, biting her lip.
Bhavya, now feeling very relaxed, closed her eyes and was off in no time.
Aadarsh heard the sound of soft breathing and looked at the girl with a smile. She was cute. And short. Her legs were pulled up on the seat and she fit perfectly.
He called for a flight attendant and asked for a blanket.
“Single or couple, sir?”
The attendant asked and Aadarsh quickly explained.
“Oh no! Single only.”
The attendant nodded and went to fetch one while Aadarsh smiled to himself. Did they look like a couple? He didn't even know her name. But she was cute no doubt.
Aadarsh covered her with a blanket which she immediately clutched to her chest and slept peacefully. She slept throughout the flight.
The announcement of landing was made and Aadarsh turned to Bhavya. Seeing her still asleep peacefully, he had no heart to wake her but it was necessary.
“Hey!”
He called softly and tapped her cheek. She hummed and held his arm rubbing her cheek on his shoulder in her sleep. He froze and let her come back to her consciousness slowly.
Bhavya opened her eyes to see the intrusion in her sleep and saw the handsome man looking at her.
She smiled and he gave her a warm smile. She sighed and closed her eyes again.
“We're about to land. Wake up!”
He whispered softly. Why? He didn't know. He just felt like he had a connection with her. Does it happen often with him? No. Was he confused at what was happening to him? Yes.
She hummed and then her eyes snapped open as if realising that she was clinging to him. She pulled back with the speed of lightning and clutched the blanket to her chest.
