“Your body language. You were nervous inside. Not even had a sip of your drink. You were continuously trying to fix your dress. And this, someone who has done casual before, they wouldn't be this nervous to be close to someone.”

She was surprised at his observation.

“Were you not pretending, you'd be standing like this.”

And with that, he snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her flush against his body. She gasped and looked at him wide eyed.

“What is the reason you're here, pretending to be someone you're not?”

She opened her mouth to make an excuse but nothing came out.

“Hmm…let me guess…a bad breakup? Wanting to be a rebel? Testing your limits?”

“A mix of second and third.”

She mumbled and he smiled. He tucked her hair behind her ear and held her hand again.

“Mind if I take you somewhere?”

She shook her head and he walked towards his car.

“Didn't know commentators earned so well.”

She said and he chuckled as he unlocked his Porsche.

“Where are we going?”

“You'll know.”

He said and she sat quietly observing him. She had not been able to form a stable opinion about him yet. One moment, it seemed like he wasn't bad. And the other it seemed like he actually was a playboy.

They finally came to a stop after about one and half hours. In the meantime, Sakshi had tried to know every possible information about Dev. Dev was cautious though. He didn't give away much.

“What is this place?”

Sakshi asked while unbuckling herself and getting out when she saw Dev do the same.

“This is the place I often come to when I want peace. This is also the place from where you can see almost the entire city.”

He said and she walked a little ahead to realise that he was correct. The view was beautiful. She smiled and looked back at him.

“This is beautiful.”

“I know.”

He replied with a soft smile and walked towards her with his hands in his pocket.

“Why did you bring me here?”

She asked and he looked at her with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine.

“You said if I wanted something more then we'll get to know each other. This is me initiating something more.”

Sakshi gulped and looked at him with a heaving chest. Why did his words erupt butterflies in her stomach?

She licked her lips and stuttered.

“I-”

He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her cheek making her eyes go wide. She just got a kiss from Dev freaking Kapoor.

“You don't have to panic. We'll take it slow. Come sit.”

He held out his hand which she took cautiously. His actions and words made her mind blank. She was supposed to conduct an operation on him. But if he continued his actions, she might need surgery herself.

“Tell me something about yourself.”

He asked when they sat down. His blazer now covers her exposed legs. He had very gracefully passed her his blazer when he saw her sitting uncomfortably in the dress.

“I…umm…there's not much to know. I-”

She didn't know what to say. He waited for her to say something but when she didn't, he started.

“Mai start krta hu.”

And then he started telling her about his life. How he struggled to get where he was today. How his life was before this and everything else. His family, his friends, his likes, dislikes, everything. Apart from the fact that he was actually a cricketer and not a commentator.

She knew about his basic family details and past from the news but listening to it from the person itself was a completely different experience.

“You're next!”

He teased with a soft shoulder nudge and she had no clue why she blushed. But she did tell him about herself.

About her family, her friends, her likes and dislikes and even her crushes. She told him that she worked in an MNC as general manager.

Dev was dropping her back home. Sakshi didn't know what to make out of the day. She enjoyed a lot. And they had only talked. For three whole hours. It was almost morning now and they were too tired to even talk but neither of them wanted to leave.

Dev was sure he wanted to know her better and wanted something with her. Sakshi, on the other hand, had no idea what was happening with her.

Dev Kapoor was interested in her. She had, never in her wildest dreams, imagined this.

“That's me.”

She whispered but made no move to get out of the car after they stopped in front of her home. They continued looking into each other's eyes.

She saw Dev lean in. For a moment, she too leaned forward but when his eyes closed and he started going for her lips, she realised what was happening and panicked.

She pecked his cheeks to deflect the situation and quickly unbuckled herself.

“I have work early and I need some sleep.”

Dev smiled in amusement seeing her nervousness and bit his lip. He too had practice but he'd manage.

“Can I get your number?”

He asked making her frantic movements to stop. She turned slowly and looked at him.

“You want my number?”

He nodded and quietly passed his phone to her. She bit her lip and punched in her number.

“Thanks. I'll see you soon?”

She nodded and he drove off after she was inside her house.

Once inside, Sakshi slumped on the couch and sat staring into oblivion.

“What the fuck just happened?”

She had liked talking to him. A lot. But now, she didn't know which part of herself to believe. Whether to believe her heart or her brain.

She didn't have much time to think though. The following week was super busy. Dev too didn't contact so she thought that he might not be that interested.

About a week later from their first meeting, Sakshi heard her doorbell ring at 10 at night. She frowned because she wasn't expecting anybody.

She peeked from the peephole and her frown deepened seeing a tall man with his face covered with a scarf and sunglasses standing outside.
