His hands invaded her top and she pushed his chest when she felt his hands cup her breast.
“Rashit! Stop!”
“What?”
He asked, confused and too dazed.
“I-this is going too fast.”
He looked at her amused.
“Fast? Princess, it's not like I haven't seen every inch of you already. Why are you talking like it's our first time?”
She blushed remembering the first time they slept together. It was her 18th birthday and she wanted to experience it before she moved to another city.
She remembers how much she had to convince him because he felt like she was being too emotional and would regret later and he didn't want her to take any decision emotionally.
But what a beautiful night it was. The way he held her and worshipped her. But she also knew he wouldn't be so soft now. Just one look at his form now and she could tell how rough he would be.
“I-I didn't mean that. We've just met after so many years-”
“I don't want to stay away from you anymore Anika. Let's get married.”
“What?”
She looked at him wide eyed. He wasn't joking. His expression gave away his seriousness.
“Rashit…I..”
She didn't know what to say.
“What? We've known each other our entire childhood, Anika. We've loved each other for a long time. You don't love me anymore?”
“It's not that. Things are a lot different Rashit. If things were the same as it was, mai ek second bhi nhi lagati haan krne mai. But now…the world you belong to…it's too different and I'm not habitual of it.”
He kept quiet and kept listening to her. She cupped her face and said.
“I love you. I really do. But I am not habitual of seeing people roam around me carrying weapons like it's normal. Mujhe thoda time lagega iss sab mai adjust hone mai. Plus I have to tell mumma papa about you also.”
“You're going to tell them about what I do?”
He asked in a surprised tone.
“Are you crazy! No! But I have to tell them I met you again and about our relationship na.”
He sat straight and made her also sit. He moved his fingers in her hair to make them presentable.
“Yeah! And I think they'll also need time to understand why you broke off one engagement to make them meet another guy.”
He said not liking that she was engaged to someone else earlier. Anika bit her lip and smiled nervously.
“Wo…umm..koi fiance tha nhi waise. I lied.”
She mumbled and he looked at her surprised.
“Why would you lie about such a thing?”
“Tum aise achanak se mere saamne aa gye and started claiming your rights on me, mujhe gussa aa gaya toh maine ek jootha fiance bana dia.”
She pouted and he sighed before pulling her closer and kissing her hard.
“You're crazy! And you make me crazy too.”
He whispered and she blushed, hiding her face in the crook of his neck.
Over the course of the next two months, Rashit had met Anika’s parents. He remembers how emotional he had gotten when her mother hugged him. It reminded of his mother and a few tears fell from his eyes as he hugged her tighter.
He had always felt that motherly affection from her mother but now she felt even more motherly because he missed his mother terribly.
Anika had lied about him that he worked as a trader. He had his penthouse apart from the mansion and so whenever her parents visited, he called them to the penthouse.
The place wasn't too far from the mansion so it was an easy commute.
Right now, he was trying to convince Anika about something but she was adamant.
“Nhi Rashit! Stop behaving like a baby.”
“Please na! Problem kya hai? Apart from work most of the time you are here only na. Toh move in krne mai problem kya hai?”
“Mummy papa ko kya bolungi mai? Abhi tak ye bhi batane ki himmat nhi hui ki date kr rhi hu. Achanak se move in ka kaise boldu Rashit?”
“Toh mai baat kr leta hu na! Tum khud unhe bata nhi rhi, mujhe baat krne nhi de rhi, batana chahti bhi ho ya nhi?”
He cribbed and she sighed.
“Obviously batana hai Rashit. But-”
“No but! Agar tumne kal tak nhi bataya toh mai parso ghar aa raha hu khud sab batane.”
She bit her lip knowing that he would do exactly what he was saying and she had just tomorrow's time to tell her parents.
So the next day, Anika told her parents about her and Rashit very cautiously. Surprisingly, they took it well. She should have known because her parents loved Rashit. A lot.
But she also knew they might not take it well if they got to know about his actual job. So she intended to keep it that way.
A few weeks later, Anika was visiting the mansion to meet Rashit as a surprise. He had not picked up her phone earlier so she decided to meet him.
She entered his study with a wide smile only for it to change into a frown because it was empty. She looked at the time and was confused. He was normally in his study at this time.
She got out and closed the door. Ruhanika had come down to eat something and saw Anika.
“Oh hey!”
“Hi! Kaise ho aap?”
“Mai thik hu. You tell.”
“I'm good. Umm…Rashit kaha hai?”
Ruhanika smiled and said.
“He and Shaurya along with some men are out on another seize.”
Anika felt her heartbeat fasten. They were on a mission.
“Ek baat puchhu?”
She asked Ruhanika who nodded.
“Aapko darr nhi lagta jab Shaurya bhaiya aise jaate hai. I mean this missions are risky. Kuch bhi ho sakta hai kabhi bhi.”
Ruhanika smiled and said.
“Lagta hai. But phir unn sab logo ka khayal aata hai jinhe ye bachane gye hai, unn sab families ka khayal aata hai jinko unka family member wapas mil jaayega. Phir unn sab lives ke aage ye darr chhota lagta hai.”
