Ananya felt like she might faint. Divesh took a step closer to her and held her hands softly in his. He caressed her knuckles and looked into her eyes before asking.

“Will you give me a chance, Ananya? Will you go on a date with me?”

Oh God! Chhaya bhabhi was right. Chhaya bhabhi aap antaryami ho.

Ananya thought while she looked at him wide eyed.

“You like me? And you want to go on a date with me?”

“I do.”

He said with a smile and she bit her lip while looking away trying to hide her blush.

“Umm..okay.”

“Sorry?”

He asked not being able to hear her correctly.

“I said okay.”

“Okay as in ‘you'll go on a date with me’ okay?”

She nodded and he nodded before leaving her hands and walking a few steps away from her. When he was about a few meters away from her, he jumped and fist bumped the air shouting ‘Yes!’.

She laughed and he came back in front of her with a grin.

“Cool! I'll see you next Sunday then? This time it's a date. I’ll pick you up at seven-ish?”

He said and she nodded with a blush. Ananya reached home and had her dinner with a permanent blush. She was thankful her parents didn't notice. But Chhaya obviously knew what was going on and she was attentive.

“Kya hua kya hua?”

Chhaya asked as soon as she entered Ananya’s room and the girl blushed deeper.

“You were right. He asked me on a date, bhabhi! Next Sunday!”

Chhaya squealed so loud that Ananya was scared everyone might hear.

“Shh! Bhabhi dheere! Koi sun lega.”

“Maine kaha tha na! Maine bola tha he is interested. Tune kya answer dia? Please tell me you said yes.”

Ananya lowered her lashes and nodded, making Chhaya hug her tightly and squeal into her ear.

“So? Kab hai ye date?”

Chhaya asked, wiggling her eyebrows and Ananya informed her. The two gossiped and Chhaya gave her tips to dazzle him.

Ananya had told her parents that she was attending a company dinner that evening. Although, they weren’t home because they had to attend a wedding.

“Company dinner ke liye itna kyu dress-up ho rhi hai?”

Advik asked and Ananya shared an eye contact with Chhaya who assured her that she will handle him later.

“Aap chup rahiye na. Let me focus.”

Chhaya said and started working on her hair. Advik grumbled and sat on the bed with a huff. His babies were asleep and his wife was ignoring him, Advik felt bored.

Ananya received Divesh’s call and she picked it up with shaking hands.

“Hey?”

“Hi! You ready? I’m outside your place.”

“Yeah just 5 minutes.”

“Ok. I'm waiting.”

“He’s here bhabhi.”

Ananya said, completely forgetting that her brother was right there. Advik’s ears perked up hearing a ‘he’ in the conversation.

“Who’s here?”

Ananya looked at Chhaya who gave a gesture indicating her to ignore him. She trusted her bhabhi and did so.

“Excuse me! Mai kuch puchh raha ho? Who’s here? Kaunsa he aaya hai?”

“Mai aapko baadme batati hu na sab. Ananya tu jaa. And location on rakhna. Call me if something happens. And enjoy!”

Chhaya sent Ananya with a kiss on her forehead. She said a bye to her brother and left.

“Kaha gyi hai ye?”

Advik asked and Chhaya finally disclosed the truth.

“What! Date! Aur tumne mujhe bataya bhi nhi. Kaun hai? Kya karta hai? Achha hai ya nhi do we know anything?”

“Yes we do Advik. Relax!”

Chhaya told him all the information about Divesh that she took from Ananya. The two, on the other hand, drove to the restaurant Divesh had chosen.

Divesh opened Ananya’s side of door like a gentleman and she smiled.

“Before we head inside, I have something for you.”

He said and pulled out a bouquet of flowers from the backseat which she had failed to notice before.

“For the gorgeous lady. You look stunning Ananya.”

He said and kissed her knuckles making her smile shyly.

“Thank you. You don’t look too bad yourself.”

He smiled and gave her his arm.

“Shall we?”

She nodded and linked her arm with his as they entered the restaurant.

“Welcome Mam! Sir! How may we assist you tonight?”

“A table for two please.”

“This way please.”

The staff assisted them. Ananya blushed when Divesh whispered to the person that they required a private corner if possible. The man nodded politely and took them to a table which was a little secluded from the others.

They took their seats and Ananya was deeply impressed because Divesh pulled her seat and helped her before taking his own. She kept the bouquet aside and smiled at him.

“Hello sir! Hello mam! I’ll be your serveuse for tonight.”

“Hello. We’ll take a moment.”

Divesh said and the waitress politely gave them space.

“Please order.”

He insisted and Ananya flipped through the menu. After their orders were given and they were alone again, they exchanged nervous glances. Divesh sighed dreamily looking at her.

“Did I tell you how gorgeous you look?”

Ananya blushed but maintained eye contact and said,

“You did.”

“I’m so bad at this. I’ve never been on a date before.”

“Me too. But you’re great Divesh.”

They confessed and then chuckled.

“If it eases your nervousness, I thought you were hot when I first saw you. I still think so by the way.”

She said with a mischievous glint and he laughed loosening up a little.

“I’m glad! And it did help.”

They enjoyed their first date chatting and flirting with each other playfully. It was 11:30 when Divesh finally dropped Ananya in front of her house.

They were still sitting in his car which was parked right in front of her house.

“I hope I was not boring.”

He teased and she chuckled.

“The opposite actually! I enjoyed it a lot. Really! Thank you for tonight.”

He smiled and turned towards her.

“So? Will I get a second date?”

She looked at him surprised.
