Saturday was three days away. She'd have to wait till then to see her di. Atleast that's what she thought until a girl came to her and said that there was someone outside the hostel asking for her.
Naisha frowned and carefully walked towards the gate. It could be a trap to kidnap her too. It wasn't uncommon for people to do that in today's times.
So she carefully peeked out of the gate to see if it was someone known.
Her eyes widened in surprise seeing the man whose thoughts she had been trying to remove from her mind, leaning against his car and looking around the hostel building.
He looked at her and quickly straightened up, removing his sunglasses.
"Aap yaha kya kr rhe ho?"
"I'm here to pick you up."
She frowned and he smile clarifying.
"Bhabhi's pregnant. Bhaiya ne bheja hai to get you."
A wide smile formed on her face and she hurried towards the backdoor.
"Toh chalo phir!"
He held her wrist and stopped her making her face him.
"With your luggage. You're going to live there from now."
She grinned even wider and chirped excitedly.
"Sachi! Aap yahi ruko mai abhi saaman lekar aati hu. Kahi jaana mat!"
She said running back inside and he chuckled at her excitement.
He had missed her a lot. One day and she had left such a huge impact on him that he missed her so much.
Naisha was sitting in the passenger seat squirming on her seat in excitement. She was going to live with her di. She would see the baby grow up.
Naisha had already taken full responsibility to spoil the baby like the good mausi she was.
Neel parked the car in the garage and Naisha ran out not bothering about her luggage. She saw Aisha and ran straight into her arms. Aisha was pleasantly surprised by Naisha's visit because her jiju hadn't told her that Naisha was going to stay with them.
The two sisters spent the entire day together.
Neel was confused. Did she Naisha leave with hard feelings for him? Why was she ignoring his very existence then?
He was sitting at his home bar which was right beside the kitchen when he heard footsteps.
It wasn't his brother and it sure wasn't his bhabhi because his brother would never let her outside the room, that too at night in this condition. Which left only one person.
He smiled and took a lazy gulp of his drink while eyeing her actions.
She stopped short seeing him awake but then held her head high and ignored him walking towards the kitchen.
Neel got up with his glass still in his hand and leaned against the kitchen doorframe to watch her.
She first looked around the entire kitchen searching for something.
"Maggi is in the second cabinet at the bottom."
He guessed and she pretended to ignore him but opened the drawer. He had shifted the packets down when she couldn't reach it the first day. Why? Don't ask him that.
She took out a packet and kept it on the counter. She then looked around again and he spoke again.
"Pan's in the one on the left of the one where maggi is."
She again ignored but opened the drawer and now he was amused.
"Did I do something wrong?"
He asked and walked closer to her making her spine straighten with awareness of his proximity.
First, it was night. Second, it was dark, third, he was whispering and fourth, he was so close to her. Her heart thudded in her chest and she focused on her maggi.
"Naisha?"
Why! Why did he have to take her name like that? And why the hell did she shiver with him just taking her name?
"What's wrong?"
"I don't talk to playboys. Mujhse bina matlab baat mmat kariye aap. Mai waisi nhi hu jaisi aap soch rhe hai."
Ok? Neel was confused. He was a playboy? Where did she get the idea from? He was a virgin for God's sake!
"And why do you think I'm a playboy?"
"Jyada innocent mat baniye. I have seen your pictures in the news. Har baar ek alag ladki ke saath hote the aap. Playboy nhi toh kya?"
He chuckled and leaned closer to her.
"Those events required a date. Protocol tha. I never slept with any of them. I've never slept with anyone."
Her eyes widened at his confession and she asked.
"Aap virgin ho?"
He laughed and nodded making her even more shocked.
"Lekin kyu? Aaj ke time mai toh koi bhi nhi hai. Aapki bhi koi girlfriend ya flings toh honge na?"
He shook his head and she gasped keeping her hand over her mouth. He raised his eyebrow in suspicion and she leaned in and spoke slowly as if telling a secret.
"Aap gay ho kya?"
"What!? No!"
"Toh...umm...impotent ho?"
"Naisha! I'm neither. I'm straight and very much able to get an erection."
"Toh phir?"
He got serious and spoke.
"I...something happened...and I swore off of women."
Naisha didn't press further because his mood had shifted suddenly and she understood the matter was serious.
But why did she feel relieved when he said he was a virgin?
"Maggi khaayenge?"
"Oh! So madam normal ho gyi ye jaante hi."
He teased and she blushed. He leaned his face near hers and whispered looking into her eyes.
"Aap khilayengi toh khaa lenge."
Oh her heart! She blushed and mentally thanked the dim lights to hide the blush.
It had become Naisha and Neel's unspoken ritual to meet after midnight. They would just laze around in the backyard and chat. Neel had never opened up to someone before like he was to Naisha.
The thought of letting himself vulnerable in front of her incited mixed feelings in him. He wanted it yet it scared him at the same time.
She wasn't supposed to make him feel such emotions. Nobody was supposed to do that. And if that wasn't enough, she was too young for him. She was still in college for God's sake.
But Neel couldn't help it. He had seen her beautiful blusj when he gazes at her non-stop and she catches him or when he uses flirty lines on her. And it made him want to make her blush forever. How can someone blushing make you possessive of them?
He knew he had to make a distance. But she made it impossible to keep away.
Naisha was looking for Neel. She had skipped straight to the backyard expecting him there but he wasn't.
She got back into the house and saw him in the kitchen. What was he doing here?
He had a glass on the counter but it was filled with clear liquid and Naisha assumed it to be water because he had his drinks near the bar.
She gulped it down wanting to annoy him but cringed at its taste and realised it wasn't water.
She gagged and Neel who was looking for something in the fridge turned to see her holding the glass and a cringed expression on her face.
"What the hell? Naisha!"
He took the glass from her and cupped her cheek. She had all of it in a gulp? It was half filled with vodka. Absolute.
