Akansha and Aarav had their YouTube channel by the name AarSha. Akansha suggested it and Aarav had blushed at the beautiful combination of their names. Unknown to her, he had also developed a crush on her.
Aarav's brother had invested into their channel and gifted Aarav a brand new DSLR to shoot their videos for the channel. Agam had shown his support by giving them a new laptop which would help in all the editing and stuff.
Aarav and Akansha couldn't thank their brothers enough. The channel was made, the setup was done in Aarav's apartment since if was empty apart from him. Akansha had her guitar and keyboard with her.
They listed down some trending and famous songs to start with the first video. After a few practice sessions which they also shot in case it turned out good, they started shooting the actual videos.
After their first video was shot, edited and uploaded, they started sending to each of their family members. Aarav sent it to his parents also although he doubted if they'd even pay attention to it.
Within the first week, they had four videos on their channel and 200 subscribers. Although all of them were family members or relatives. But Akansha knew that slowly it would gain popularity.
And she wasn't wrong. Within a month, their subscribe rose from 200 to 800. People in the comments have been praising Aarav's voice. But apart from it, another thing was famous among the viewers.
The way Akansha looked at Aarav was visible even in the videos and people have started shipping them even in comments.
Aarav had blushed when he read those comments and Akansha too grinned and blushed. Agam, on the other hand, was in his protective brother mode again.
"Yaha bhi toh kr skte ho na shoot? Uske ghar mai kyu krna hai?"
He had been arguing on the topic since half an hour now and Akansha was tired of his protectiveness.
"Bhaiya! What's wrong suddenly? Abhi tak toh thik the aap. Aur sara setup yaha laana bhut mushkil hai. Plus yaha jagah bhi nhi hai. Aarav ka guest room khaali hai. Specially background thik krwaya hai humne videos ke liye. Aur ab aap keh rhe ho yaha aa jaao. Problem kya hai?"
He didn't say anything but looked pissed and concerned. Akansha looked at him softly and asked.
"Bhaiya? Kya hua hai?"
"I don't know! Reading all those comments about how you look at him and people linking your name with him, I -I feel like -"
He couldn't explain the feeling in words and Akansha smiled realising that her brother was insecure.
"Aapko Aarav achha aadmi nhi lagta?"
"Aisa nhi hai. I know he's a good man but-"
"I like him bhaiya. I really like him. But I also know my limits."
"It's not about your limits Akansha. I have seen the most innocent looking men lose control when time comes."
"I know you're scared and concerned but I promise you I'm safe. That guy is too shy to even hold hands. Meri aankhon mai tak nhi dekh paata wo bina sharmaye. Uska aur mera kuch nhi hone wala. Mera ye crush one sided hai waise bhi."
She pouted making him chuckle but his mind was still at unrest.
It was unusual for her brother to go for a walk at night. But when he said that he and her bhabhi were going on a walk at 10 pm, Akansha knew that he still wasn't satisfied with her assurances.
She sneaked behind them. When she reached down, she saw her brother and bhabhi sitting on a bench in the society park.
She went a little closer to hear what they were talking about.
"It's not about what she feels Sanjana. It's about his intentions. Pura din akeli rehti hai wo uske ghar. Mujhe Akansha par bharosa hai. Lekin uss ladke pr kaise krlu?"
"She is not a kid Agam-"
"I know. I know she is not. I know she is mature enough to understand what is right and what is not for her. But I also know men Sanjana. She says he is too innocent to even look into her eyes while talking. Lekin jab hawas chadti hai na toh insaan ko hewan (monster) bante der nhi lagti. And in today's time, I can't trust even a friend, ye toh phir bhi uss comparison mai stranger hi hai."
Sanjana didn't say anything and Akansha too lowered her head. Her head snapped up when she heard another voice.
"Bhaiya?"
Aarav walked towards the couple who got up seeing him approach.
"I was just passing by toh socha hi bolta chalu. But then I overheard your conversation."
Agam looked square into his eyes trying to intimidate him but Aarav held ground. Akansha watched from a distance while biting her lip in nervousness.
"If it eases your worry a little toh I promise I will never even touch her. I will not initiate anything between us. Aap kahoge toh I'll even maintain a one arm distance from her. I don't have any ill intentions towards her bhaiya. I promise."
The sincerity in his voice calmed Agam down a little.
"You will not initiate anything?"
"No."
"Even if you like her too and she wants it?"
"Even then."
Aarav promised and Agam nodded.
Akansha was woken up by the sound of something crashing. Did something break in her brother's room? She squinted her eyes and looked at the time. 5 am.
"Bhaiya? What was that?"
"Nothing! My hand hit the vase."
Ah! That explains the metal sound. Why did she hear her bhabhi giggle then? Akansha rolled her eyes realising how he could have hit the vase.
She sighed. She may pretend to be annoyed by the daily dose of PDA she had to bear but deep within she too wanted to experience the same. She wanted a husband like her brother was to her bhabhi.
She saw the way her bhabhi glowed and the instant brightening of her eyes when she sees her brother. However much annoying he is as a brother, he is a loving husband. And after these dreams with Aarav, her singleness had increased.
Will she sound desperate if she asked her parents to look for an alliance for her herself? Maybe she would.
