She was in a bathrobe and had just put her rollers in her hair to curl them when the doorbell rang. She knew it would be Anubhav.

Tying her bathrobe properly, she opened the door after making sure it was indeed Anubhav. He looked at her suspiciously when she opened the door while hiding behind it.

"I've got the gift. Got it ribbon wrapped too. Yahi rakh raha hu. Why are you not closing the door?"

He asked when she continued to hold the door open and hide behind it.

"And what's that on your head?"

He asked eyeing her rollers with suspicion.

"I was getting ready. Tum room jaao na apne."

She whisper yelled while looking away feeling conscious of the lack of decent clothing on her body. He seemed to understand what she meant and thankfully went inside without any questions.

Tamanna huffed and shut the door while running inside her room.

It took Tamanna another hour to get ready. Anubhav was waiting for her in the living room.

"How long will you take?"

He asked for the umpteenth time.

"Ho gaya bas!"

He heard the same answer again. She had been saying that for the last 20 minutes. Thankfully to Anubhav's mercy, she finally did come out of her room.

He looked at her with annoyance but his expression didn't take time to change. From annoyance to surprise to awe. He knew she was beautiful but this beautiful? She looked drop dead gorgeous. The black dress with spaghetti straps which was snug till the knees and a little flary at the bottom looked so good on her body.

Anubhav realised that he had been looking at her wide eyed and open mouthed and quickly looked away clearing his throat. Luckily for him, she was putting some stuff inside her clutch and she didn't notice his expressions.

"Let's go! We'll be late!"

She nodded and they walked out together. Anubhav couldn't help but slow down his pace to match hers.

Tamanna wasn't habitual of wearing such dresses and was having a tough time walking with it. Her heels got stuck in the corridor carpet and she stumbled a little. His arm shot out to hold her stable.

"Sorry!"

She muttered sheepishly and he looked away. Why was she making him feel all tingly today?

"It's ok. You can hold on. I don't want you to fall on your face and embarass both of us."

She rolled her eyes at his comment. Can he not keep his snobbish attitude in check for a day? Tamanna held her head high and walked on her own.

They reached the venue and Anubhav forwarded his hand to help her out of the car.

"I'll manage!"

She gritted out and he gave her a bored expression.

"There are a lot of people here. We'll continue our war later on. Take my hand or you'll actually fall."

She looked around and realised that he was actually right. There were a lot of people and paparazzi too. She didn't want to embarass herself.

They met Mr. and Mrs. Bernard and greeted them.

"A very happy wedding anniversary once again. You look lovely Reena."

Tamanna complimented while air kissing her cheek while Anubhav handed Gabriel the gift they got.

"Thank you darling. And you look absolutely gorgeous."

She said and Tamanna smiled while muttering a thank you.

"You too young man. And you look lovely together."

Gabriel said, eyeing Anubhav and Tamanna and her hand around his arm. They looked at each other and cleared their throats looking away. A flushed expression formed on their faces.

"It's - there's nothing like that. We're just colleagues."

"I get it. Me and Reena were 'just colleagues' too. And we're celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary today."

Gabriel said and winked while pulling Reena closer who laughed seeing the two blush at his words.

"Stop it Gab! Let's not tease the poor kids anymore. You guys enjoy the party. Feel free to come to any of us in case you want something."

With that the two took their leave to address the other guests.

"I'm starving!"

Tamanna said to break the awkwardness between them. He looked at her with a smirk and said.

"Ofcourse you are!"

"What do you mean?"

She asked with a horrified expression. Did he mean she ate a lot?

"Nothing! Let's break the buffet."

He said and walked her to the buffet area. They took their plates and started tasting the dishes placed there.

Tamanna would taste something unique and then would look at him wide eyed in appreciation of the taste. She would then forward it to him prompting him to take a bite resulting in him humming in agreement too.

The two did this unconsciously. They were a great team but haven't realised it yet.

After filling their stomachs to the brim, the two took their seats. It had merely been five minutes since they sat down when there was an announcement for the commencement of the dance.

It started with Gabriel and Reena's dance. It was such a beautiful performance. The two slow danced on a soft romantic melody and finished with Gabriel going in for a slow and sweet dip and kissing her softly.

It had everyone awwing at the couple and Reena blushing profusely. They then invited everyone for a dance.

Tamanna wanted to dance too but she would rather jump off a 10 floor building than ask the man beside her for a dance.

A man bend towards her and forwarded his hand.

"May I have a dance with this beautiful lady?"

Tamanna was shocked at the man's sudden appearance and before she could process what was happening she heard a voice.

"Sorry brother! She's not available."

And with that, she was pulled off of her seat and was taken towards the dance floor. Anubhav stopped and pulled her closer in one swift move which made the flare of her dress twirl beautifully.

Tamanna was shocked. One of her hand was clasped in his and the other rested on his shoulder because of the pull. His other hand rested on her waist.
