Anubhav was still in deep sleep when he heard someone bang his room door.

"Who's that?"

He groaned and shut his ears with his pillow. His body felt too tired.

"Anubhav! Wake up you kumbhkaran! Meeting ke liye late ho jaayenge. The clients have confirmed the timings and we have to meet them in 3 hours. Hume travelling mai bhi ek ghanta lagega. Utho!"

He sighed and laid on the bed like a dead body. Slowly opening his eyes, he pulled his body up and went to the washroom to take a warm shower to shoo away the exhaustion.

It was 7:30 when he came out of his room. Tamanna too exited hers at the same time. She was dressed in a cream colored pants with matching blouse and blazer. Anubhav was wearing his grey suit.

Did her eyes play a trick on her or did he actually just check her out? Tamanna shook her head and they came out of their room.

They asked the hotel authorities to hail a cab for them. He was discussing what all they need to tell the client and how to proceed about the meeting.

Sinha sir was constantly over call with them.

They reached the restaurant where their meeting was supposed to take place.

"Mr and Mrs. Bernard."

Tamanna asked the receptionist who guided them to their private booth. The clients were not here yet. They had 5 minutes to their meeting.

Anubhav released a deep breath.

"Nervous?"

"Nah!"

He said coolly and she rolled her eyes.

"Accepting that you too are a human wouldn't be that bad you know."

He closed her eyes at her comment and said.

"Okay! Maybe a little bit."

She smiled and was about to comfort him when the door to the booth was opened and a couple in their mid - fifties entered in.

"Mr and Mrs. Bernard!'

Tamanna and Anubhav got up and greeted the two.

"Hello dear! And just Reena and Gabriel would be fine!"

Tamanna was a little surprised to see Mrs. Bernard. She expected a French lady. But the woman seemed like she had Indian roots.

"Would you like to order something first or should we start the meeting?"

The woman asked and Tamanna looked at Anubhav who seemed like he wanted to get the meeting done with as soon as he can.

"Let's get through the meeting first. We can enjoy our breakfast freely after."

The couple nodded and Anubhav switched on his tablet. He started telling them about the progress and answered their questions to their satisfaction.

The progress report was shared and discussed and the clients seemed happy with the progress. They ordered their breakfast and had a light conversation about general things.

Tamanna and Anubhav got to know that Mrs. Bernard or Reena was actually an Indian and originally came to Paris for work purposes. She had met Gabriel at work and the two fell in love. They were happily married for 25 years now and today, infact was their 25th wedding anniversary.

"A very happy marriage anniversary to both of you."

Tamanna wished and Reena smiled widely.

"Thank you darling. That reminds me. I would love to extend an invitation to both of you for our anniversary celebration this evening. We'll look forward to your presence."

She said and handed over the invitation card bearing their names.

"Definitely!"

Anubhav said and shook hands with Gabriel whole Reena air kissed Tamanna's cheeks.

They bid farewell to the couple and exited the restaurant. They hailed a cab back to their hotel and slumped on the couch.

"I'll let sir know about the meeting and thr invite."

Tamanna mumbled and Anubhav nodded. His head was hurting. He wanted some sleep.

He heard Tamanna brief their boss about the meeting and also inform him about the invite. She then asked what gift they should give and then disconnected the call.

"Sir is saying ki koi branded champagne le chale. Get up! We need to go shopping. Mere paas koi dress nhi hai shaam ko pehne ko. The theme is black."

He smirked and looked at her through the side eye.

"I have my tux! You go!"

She rolled her eyes and said.

"Fine! I'll get my dress. Lekin, you'll have to get champagne then."

"I'll get it later. Abhi time hai. I just want some sleep. Shut the door behind you."

He said and retired to his room. What was she expecting? That he'd room around the city with her?

Taking the room key card with her because she knew he would be in deep sleep when she returned, she proceeded to the nearest mall.

It was 4 pm when Anubhav woke up next. He stretched his body and strained his ears for any sign of her in the suite.

He got out of his room and saw her heels placed neatly at a corner. She was back. But why was she so silent? Was she asleep?

He knocked on her door softly but there was no reply. He twisted the knob and surprisingly the door opened. Wow! She trusted him too much to be sleeping without locking her door.

When he saw that she was actually sleeping, he closed the door back softly and went back to his room. He had planned to get the champagne right now but it didn't feel right leaving her sleeping alone in the room.

He'll go after she wakes up. What? He might hate her but he was a gentleman. He would even have accompanied her shopping if she wasn't comfortable going alone. But she seemed fine and he knew she was that strong to handle things.

Tamanna was woken up by her alarm. It was 5 pm and she had to get ready. The party was in 3 hours.

She got out of her room to see whether that kumbhkaran was still asleep.

"Thank God you're up! Gift le aaye tum?"

"Nope! Just going. Lock the door."

He said and left the room. Tamanna meanwhile took a bath and did her skincare routine before sitting to get ready.
